Han Go-eun expresses concern over husband's severe foot condition

Actress Han Go-eun expressed her heartbreak as she revealed her husband's severe hallux valgus. The couple shared their worries as the pain, which goes beyond simple foot deformity, has reached a level that affects his daily life.

On the 23rd, a video titled 'How 52-year-old Han Go-eun Spends Her Weekend (Weekend Day Drinking, Super Simple Snacks): From Full-Body Workouts to Fridge-Clearing Cooking' was released on the YouTube channel 'Han Go-eun'.

In the video, Han spoke about her husband's health while spending a relaxing weekend together. In particular, attention was drawn to the hallux valgus issue her husband has been suffering from for a long time.

“The hallux valgus is so severe,” Han confessed, adding, “His feet hurt so much that he sleeps with his feet suspended in the air.” She continued to convey the pain she has witnessed her husband endure, saying, “My husband's hallux valgus is extremely severe. It's truly at the final stage. The final stage.”

Her husband also explained the discomfort caused by the intense pain.

He revealed that he is finding his own ways to reduce the pain, stating, “I stick my foot against the edge of the bed or fix it with my other foot. I even wedge my foot between my toes.”

It drew sympathy as it was reported that even wearing shoes is difficult. In the footage, a serious foot deformity was shown, with the big toe curving outward.

Watching her husband, Han expressed her concern, saying, “He is in so much pain that even a slight touch hurts,” and added, “I wish he would go for a checkup sometime.”

She further expressed her pity for her husband, who has endured the pain for a long time, saying, “I only realized a human foot could look like that after seeing my husband.”

Her husband also confessed the difficulties in daily life caused by the condition, saying, “When the pain is severe, I can't even walk barefoot.”

Hallux valgus is a condition where the big toe joint curves outward, causing the bone on the inside of the foot to protrude. In severe cases, it can cause discomfort not only in wearing shoes but also in walking. If left untreated, the pain and deformity can worsen, requiring professional medical treatment.

Han married non-celebrity Shin Young-soo, who is four years younger, in 2015. Shin previously drew attention when it was reported that he quit his job to care for his father and remained unemployed for seven years.
