Actress Hwang Seok-jeong revealed anecdotes of being constantly misunderstood due to her appearance, from her days as a student at Seoul National University to her career as an actress. Recalling her time as a student in the Department of Korean Traditional Music at Seoul National University, she said, "I was caught every single time I passed by for four straight years." She noted that she didn't do anything particularly conspicuous, yet she was the only one singled out by the security guards.

Hwang recalled that she attended school normally back then, sometimes even carrying corn or potatoes in black plastic bags. Around her third year, unable to take it anymore, she protested, saying, "Sir, why are you doing this? I pass by here every day," but she said she was stopped in the exact same way the following day. She added that she eventually gave up trying to make them recognize her, drawing laughter from the audience.
