Kim GuRa reveals stock philosophy: Bought Samsung Electronics at 45,000 won, betting on SK Hynix at 1.32 million won
Broadcaster Kim GuRa discusses his bold investment history, from Samsung Electronics to SK Hynix, on MBC's Radio Star.
Broadcaster Kim GuRa revealed his unique stock investment philosophy, discussing everything from his past experience with Samsung Electronics to his recent purchase of SK Hynix.

In the 976th episode of the MBC variety program 'Radio Star' aired on the 12th, guests Hong Hyun Hee, Kim Moon-jeong, Lee Chang-ho, and Yoo Ho-jin appeared to share various stories.
While listening to Lee Chang-ho talk about his recent interest in wealth management, Kim GuRa naturally shifted the topic to stocks. Noting recent price trends, Kim said, "Hynix and Samsung Electronics have dropped a lot. At 1.32 million won..."
In particular, Kim hinted that he recently engaged in direct buying, stating, "I couldn't buy it because a sidecar was triggered, so I just went in a little while ago," adding, "If it's 1.32 million won, you have to go in."
This is not Kim's first investment experience. He has previously revealed that he bought Samsung Electronics shares at 45,000 won. While he expressed some regret about selling a portion of those shares at the time, he showed an attitude of not deeply regretting the decision.
Through his YouTube channel, he shared the story of selling some of his holdings, saying, "I entered when Samsung Electronics was 45,000 won a long time ago." He added, "If I had held onto it, it would have been incredible. But I have never once thought about that."
Rather, Kim evaluated his own investment skills coldly. "I am a truly incompetent person when it comes to stocks. But I never hold a grudge," he said, showing that he does not dwell on past investment results.
When Lee revealed his own experience investing in Samsung Electronics, Kim asked, "Do you still have it?" before offering the profound advice, "Stock investing is the art of selling."
Lee revealed that he jumped into stocks after winning a subscription for a penthouse-level residence in the past but ultimately giving it up because he could not secure the 2.7 billion won required. He initially thought he had discovered an investment knack, but later confessed to suffering losses after buying SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics near their peak prices.
He drew laughter by comparing his current situation to "falling into a semi-basement," saying, "Looking at the market flow, I thought it would go up more, so I bought at the height of a penthouse."
In response, Kim emphasized the "art of selling," suggesting that what is important in stock investing is not just when to buy, but when to sell.
From his past experience of buying Samsung Electronics in the 45,000 won range to his recent investment in SK Hynix, Kim's remarks contained the cynical insight of an experienced investor: that judging the moment to sell by letting go of greed and lingering attachment is ultimately more difficult than a single successful purchase in the stock market.
However, the specific stock prices and buying timings mentioned on the broadcast are based on the content of the program at that time and should be distinguished from actual investment decisions.
