Lee Chang-ho forfeits 2.7 billion won apartment win; Kim Gu-ra jokes about Ive's An Yu Jin

Comedian Lee Chang-ho revealed how he won a subscription for a luxury apartment worth 2.7 billion won but was ultimately forced to forfeit the contract after failing to secure the necessary funds. While listening to the story, Kim Gu-ra brought up Ive's An Yu Jin, who recently drew attention due to rumors of winning a high-priced apartment subscription, highlighting the stark reality of needing sufficient "ammunition" (cash reserves).

The MBC variety program 'Radio Star,' which aired on the 12th, featured a 'Forget the Heat~ Let It Go' special with guests Hong Hyun Hee, musical music director Kim Moon-jeong, comedian Lee Chang-ho, and magician Yu Ho-jin.

During the broadcast, Lee explained that the anxiety he felt while watching his colleagues' success led him to study investment techniques. He explained his motivation for studying real estate, saying, "Recently, Kwak Beom and Lee Sun-min are doing so well. I felt like I was the only one falling behind, so I started looking into investments."

He became interested in subscriptions for high-end apartments being supplied in the Yeouido, Daebang, and Noryangjin areas of Seoul. Although he applied without high expectations, he unexpectedly won the subscription.

However, the joy of winning was short-lived. The problem was the sale price, which reached a staggering 2.7 billion won.

Lee recalled, "I didn't know I would win. But once I won, they told me to pay 2.7 billion won."

When Hong Hyun Hee asked, "Can't you just pay in monthly installments?" he drew laughter by firmly replying, "I don't have the money."

He looked into loans, but reality was not easy. Because the area was designated as a speculative overheated zone, it was difficult to borrow as much as he needed. Lee lamented, "If I want to borrow, I would have to visit twenty different people. There is absolutely no possibility."

Ultimately, Lee had to give up the hard-won apartment subscription. He stated, "I felt like 'it's not going to work this time,' so I gave it up."

Kim Gu-ra expressed regret, saying, "If you give up, you won't be able to win next time," to which Lee explained that since he won through a random draw, there is a restriction on winning another subscription for the next 10 years.

During this exchange, Kim Gu-ra mentioned An Yu Jin, who has recently been a hot topic due to rumors of winning a high-priced apartment subscription. Kim compared the stark difference in their situations with humor, saying, "An Yu Jin paid the money cleanly, but Chang-ho has no money..."

In response, Lee drew bursts of laughter by acknowledging his own reality, retorting, "I didn't pay it cleanly. As expected, you need ammunition."

Previously, An Yu Jin garnered attention as rumors spread that she had won a subscription for an apartment with an asking price of approximately 4 billion won. However, her agency, Starship Entertainment, stated regarding the matter, "It is difficult to confirm as it is a personal matter."

The most realistic lesson from Lee's story was simple: winning a subscription is not the end. It revealed the bitter reality that even the luck of a "win" can be rendered powerless when faced with the actual financial capability required for a contract involving apartments worth billions of won.
