Lee Ji-hye downsizes to new home: "It's smaller, but I love it"

Broadcaster Lee Ji-hye, formerly of the group S#arp, has expressed deep affection for her newly decorated home after moving from an 80-pyeong apartment to a 49-pyeong residence.

On the 14th, Lee shared photos of her organized home via her SNS, stating, "It took quite a long time for everything to get organized after moving in, but looking back at the spaces I carefully created one by one, they are truly precious." She expressed her satisfaction with her new nest, adding, "My space is exactly to my liking."

The move has drawn significant attention as it was not a move to a larger house, but rather a bold decision to reduce her living area from an 80-pyeong apartment to a 49-pyeong older apartment.

Lee recently underwent a seven-week remodeling process, infusing her personal taste into every corner of the space. By including features such as a high-end European-style dry vanity and even a private practice room, she increased the density and utility of her living space instead of focusing on sheer size.

Ultimately, she emphasized the "meaning of space" rather than "size." Lee expressed her gratitude to those who helped complete the home, saying, "Nothing can be done alone. If we work together, cooperate, and coordinate, the best results are bound to emerge."

Previously, through her YouTube channel "Gwanjong Un-ni," Lee revealed her pursuit of a minimalist lifestyle, sharing sentiments such as "Let's stop living a life just for show." This move is interpreted not merely as a reduction in living space, but as a lifestyle shift toward focusing on what is necessary, moving away from excessive scale and performative consumption.

Owning a large house does not necessarily equate to a better life. Rather, knowing what kind of space one truly needs and investing time and taste into it can increase residential satisfaction. The reason Lee expressed that the home is "exactly to her liking" likely stems from the fact that the space has been reconstructed to fit her life rather than its square footage.

Lee married tax accountant Moon Jae-wan in 2017 and has two daughters.
