Singer Lee Ji-hye reveals her newly remodeled 40-pyung apartment, prioritizing her daughters' education over her previous luxury Han River view.
Singer and entertainer Lee Ji-hye has revealed her new home for the first time. After leaving her previous 80-pyung apartment with a Han River view, she chose a 40-pyung older apartment, completely transforming it into a space designed for family practicality and an ideal educational environment.
On the 27th, a video titled "First Reveal of Lee Ji-hye's 40-pyung Remodeled Moving House (40-year-old building) where she put her everything into it" was released on the YouTube channel 'Gwanjong Un-ni'.
In the video, Lee opened by saying, "My mental state was shaken several times because I've been preparing to move for a few months," adding, "I am finally able to reveal the new house."
The newly revealed home is an older apartment approximately 40 years old. It has been reborn as a completely new space after an extensive seven-week remodeling process.
Lee stated, "I used to live in an 80-pyung space, but now it's 40-pyung. The size has been cut in half, but since I decorated it so thoroughly, I am quite satisfied."
What caught the eye most was the view outside the window. Instead of a glamorous Han River view, she chose an "Apgujeong School View" that overlooks a school. This decision drew attention as it prioritized the educational environment for her two daughters and the family's daily lifestyle.
The interior was also designed with the family in mind. The living room utilizes high-end lighting to enhance the sense of openness, and efficient storage spaces were provided throughout to increase practicality. A sophisticated atmosphere was achieved, making it hard to believe it is an older apartment.
Previously, Lee drew attention by sharing her moving preparations through SNS. Describing herself as a "person crazy about organizing," she surprised many by revealing, "I threw away 5 tons of trash, and most of the usable items were cleared out through second-hand trades."
She also showed affection for her Gold Button, received after reaching 1 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, calling it a "precious award with many stories." She also built anticipation for the new home by showing herself touring the house under construction with her second daughter.
Lee married tax accountant Moon Jae-wan in 2017 and has two daughters. She plans to start a new chapter with her family in their new nest and create more memories.
