Lim Young-woong flinches as Cha Seung Won takes over as 'host'
Cha Seung Won dominates the mountain house in the latest preview of SBS's 'Mountain Bachelor Hero,' leaving Lim Young-woong and Kim Do-hoon in awe.
When 'mountain bachelor' Lim Young-woong met 'experienced mountain life veteran' Cha Seung Won, the atmosphere was instantly dominated. Cha naturally took the lead in everything from cooking to lifestyle and filming know-how. His overwhelming presence led Lim to burst into laughter, saying, "It feels like the owner has changed," significantly raising expectations for the next episode.

At the end of the SBS variety program 'Mountain Bachelor Hero' broadcast on the 21st, a preview was released featuring actor Cha Seung Won and Kim Do-hoon as new guests. In particular, Cha captured attention by completely shifting the atmosphere of the mountain house with his characteristic, realistic wit and life skills immediately upon his arrival.
In the preview video, Cha drew laughter by looking at a makgeolli glass while eating and bluntly asking, "Do I really have to drink from a dented makgeolli glass like this? Do I absolutely have to do it this way?" His unique humor, which interprets the mountain sentiment through his own lens rather than simply accepting it, instantly brightened the scene.
His 'experienced professional' side continued even during filming. When a camera director attempted to film the food, he jokingly said, "The camera director can't see well, so you should open it this much," while slightly lifting the pot lid. He even gave advice on the filming composition to make the food look more delicious, making the production crew laugh. It was a moment that revealed the natural sense stemming from his long experience in variety shows.
Above all, what most clearly demonstrated Cha's presence was, indeed, his cooking. Having been recognized for his high-level culinary skills in various variety shows, he once again completed the dishes with skillful hands, and Lim could not hide his admiration after tasting them. The way he effortlessly led even the simple cooking process once again proved that his nickname 'Mountain Chef' is no exaggeration.
Cha's philosophy was also clear in his lifestyle. As Lim headed to his room to rest, Cha remarked, "Why are you resting in the room? You go into the room to sleep," and Lim appeared to flinch at the unexpected criticism. He then immediately teased, "I mean, why are you resting in the room!~!", turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
Lim, who was helping with the cooking by Cha's side, also showed a different side than usual. Unable to properly remember the requested ingredients, he cautiously asked Kim Do-hoon for help, saying, "Will he be angry if I ask again...", and even made the mistake of adding more red pepper powder than expected during the cooking process.
Flustered, Lim jokingly shifted the responsibility to Kim by saying, "Do-hoon, what are you doing putting this much in?", to which Kim responded, "Weren't we on the same team?", completing a playful chemistry. The natural 'tiki-taka' created by the three people further heightened expectations for the main broadcast.
Kim also acknowledged Cha's presence. Looking at Cha, who was staying comfortably in his spot, he expressed, "I thought he was a Doberman guarding this house," and Lim also drew laughter by acknowledging Cha's overwhelming presence, saying, "I was the host, but it feels like it changed instantly."
Even with just a short preview, Cha's life skills, cooking abilities, and witty remarks, along with his new chemistry with Lim and Kim, left a strong impression. As Cha's unique drive and variety sense are added to the comfortable atmosphere created by the existing cast, expectations are rising that a new vitality will be breathed into the mountain house.
In particular, attention is focused on whether the 'lifestyle leader' persona he has shown in various variety shows will continue this time, and what kind of chaotic mountain life Lim will unfold under Cha's guidance. In next week's broadcast, a more colorful mountain life will visit viewers along with the joining of the new guests.
