Park Dong-hoon: Using a Lifetime of Wealth to Fund Street Art in Chungmuro

On the 24th, during the EBS program 'The Millionaire Next Door,' Seo Jang Hoon and Jang Ye-won visited Chungmuro, the mecca of film and art, to meet a special millionaire, Park Dong-hoon.

Seo Jang Hoon and Jang Ye-won marveled at the mysterious monitors installed on the streets of Chungmuro. Park Dong-hoon introduced himself, saying, "I operated an advertising agency in Pildong for 40 years, and now I live as a street museum planner."

He is a man who started his business with a mere 2 million won in capital and grew it into an advertising agency with 100 employees and annual sales of 10 billion won.

Having written a success story by even building a 5-story office building in Chungmuro, he revealed, "Currently, I am the only employee." He explained that he is pouring all his earned money into the streets, planning a street museum where anyone can easily encounter art by erecting statues throughout Chungmuro.

His home featured harmonious interior tones, charming accessories, and a classic piano with 60 years of history, manufactured in 1964.

In particular, seeing the large TV that showed an overwhelming presence in the middle of the living room, Seo Jang Hoon was surprised, saying, "I've never seen such a big TV before." Park Dong-hoon boasted, "It is 108 inches. I understand that only 200 units were produced limitedly worldwide, and only one unit was sold to each celebrity representing their respective countries."

Jang Ye-won asked, "Could that celebrity be you, sir?" Park Dong-hoon smiled and revealed honestly, "It wasn't me; 'Yonsama' Bae Yong-joon bought it, and I purchased it when he disposed of it."

Soon after, the large screen turned on, and the perfectly matched sound equipment drew admiration from Seo Jang Hoon and Jang Ye-won.

Park Dong-hoon served home-cooked meals he prepared himself for Seo Jang Hoon and Jang Ye-won. Observing his relaxed and proactive lifestyle, Seo Jang Hoon expressed envy, saying, "It seems like you truly live a fun life."

Park Dong-hoon shared his kind intentions, stating, "Isn't there an expression in our language, 'to have no regrets'? I want to live my life without regrets, enjoying and giving to others to my heart's content before I go."
