Park Jun Hyung in Tears as Long-Running MBC Radio Show '2 O'Clock Manse' Comes to an End
Park Jun Hyung expresses deep emotion as his 13-year journey as a DJ on MBC Radio's iconic show '2 O'Clock Manse' reaches its conclusion.
On the 25th, during MBC Standard FM's 'Park Jun Hyung, Park Young-jin's 2 O'Clock Manse,' Park Jun Hyung and Park Young-jin expressed their heartbreak over the program's conclusion, ultimately shedding tears.

'2 O'Clock Manse,' a representative long-running radio program that has received great love from listeners, will have its final broadcast on the 28th. Since its start in 2004, '2 O'Clock Manse' has featured hosts such as Ji Sang-ryeol, Noh Sa-yeon, Park Jun Hyung, and Jeong Gyeong-mi. Park Jun Hyung feels an even greater sense of loss as he has served as a DJ for 13 years since 2013.
Park Jun Hyung shared his inner feelings, saying, "Actually, I received the notice to stop a month ago. They told me a month in advance to be considerate of me. It was actually very difficult because of the final days approaching every single day. The remaining time felt so precious. I've been talking a lot lately. It was hard to accept so suddenly, and I'm scared of what to do next. I also felt sorry toward Park Young-jin."
He acknowledged the natural cycle of beginnings and endings, stating, "I wondered, was our broadcast that bad? Our ratings are much higher, so why are we disappearing? If we could just do it for 6 more years, we would receive the Golden Mouse, so why now? I felt resentment and regret. It was very painful. Just as the moon wanes when it is full and every beginning has an end, nothing is eternal. Now, at the end of my remaining time, I tell you all about the end of '2 O'Clock Manse.' I first came to MBC Radio in March 2013. And now, I leave like this in June 2026."
He expressed gratitude to everyone he worked with, saying, "The times spent with the listeners, I was truly happy thanks to you. Thanks to you, the long period of over 13 years felt very fast. As I felt myself leaving radio, I thought back to the beginning. The PD of '2 O'Clock Manse' who was with me at the start is now a Bureau Chief PD and spoke of the end. Has his heart changed? In a way, the 13 years were truly precious and happy. It was unfamiliar at first, but I am thankful to the past PDs and writers of '2 O'Clock Manse' who were with me step by step. Thank you to Jeong Gyeong-mi, who was with me for 8 of the 13 years, and Park Young-jin, who was with me for 5 years. Thank you also to Kim Ji-hye, who watched over us every day."
He concluded with a farewell to everyone, saying, "To the radio family and engineer staff I've become so accustomed to. I even wonder who will host the MBC Radio year-end party if I'm not there. I wonder if I can ever do a program I've grown so attached to again in my life. Even if I am not there, please stand tall, drink water, and take care of yourselves. I will send many waves of support, even if you can't hear me, so that you all do well."
MBC has announced a major radio reorganization. Through this reorganization, Standard FM (95.9MHz in the metropolitan area) will schedule new afternoon programs and present differentiated professional content such as international issues and science.
'Son Seokhee's 12 O'Clock' will be newly established at 12:05 PM, and 'Trot Radio' will change its time slot to 2:20 PM. 'Park Jun Hyung, Park Young-jin's 2 O'Clock Manse' will conclude on the 28th.
