Park Se-young and Kwak Jeong-uk to reveal family on 'The Return of Superman'

Actors Park Se-young and Kwak Jeong-uk will reveal their family's daily life for the first time since marrying. Following a connection that began on a drama set and led to a real-life marriage, the couple, now parents, are set to show a new side of themselves through a parenting variety show.

On the 21st, Park personally announced her joining the KBS2 variety program 'The Return of Superman' via her social media (SNS).

"Mom Park Se-young, Dad Kwak Jeong-uk, and the protagonist of our family, Kwak Na-el—our family is happy to introduce ourselves as the new family on 'The Return of Superman'," Park stated.

She continued, "This is the first time we are revealing our family's daily life. Although we are still clumsy parents, please watch over us warmly and beautifully, and we ask for your support and love."

The appearance is drawing significant interest as it marks the first family project revealed by the couple since their transition from actors to parents. Having primarily met the public through their acting work, expectations are high for the realistic parenting and married life Park and Kwak will show in front of the camera.

Park and Kwak first met through the 2012 KBS2 drama 'School 2013'. The two, who worked together as fellow actors at the time, later developed a romantic relationship and married in 2022.

Last May, they began their new life as parents by welcoming their daughter, Na-el. The daily life shared with their 14-month-old daughter on 'The Return of Superman', as well as the sight of the two growing as novice parents, is expected to be a major highlight.

As 'The Return of Superman' has gained viewers' empathy by capturing the unvarnished parenting scenes of star parents, attention is focused on how Park and Kwak will appear not just as actors, but as the mother and father of a child.

The first episode featuring Park's family is scheduled to be released in early September. Park recently returned to television after about four years by taking on the lead role of Na Ji-ni in the MBC daily drama 'Family Resister', while Kwak has continued his acting career through various works.
