Sam Hammington stuns with 30kg weight loss, compared to Russell Crowe
Entertainer Sam Hammington draws comparisons to actor Russell Crowe after a massive 30kg weight loss on MBC's 'Choi Woo-soo-san'.
Australian entertainer Sam Hammington appeared with a transformed look after successfully losing 30kg, drawing admiration from the cast. With a slimmer face and much sharper features, jokes were even made that he "looked like his son William," filling the set with laughter.

In the 9th episode of the MBC variety program 'Choi Woo-soo-san,' which aired on the 19th, the members operated a one-day sashimi restaurant and invited acquaintances.
Appearing as a guest that day, Hammington captured everyone's attention with a physique that was noticeably different from before. The cast members could not hide their surprise at his sharp jawline and much leaner appearance.
Boom, who was the first to notice Hammington, wittily expressed the weight loss by saying, "It looks like three people flew away," to which Hammington quipped, "One kid is missing," drawing laughter.
Following this, Heo Kyung Hwan mentioned his noticeably younger appearance, asking, "Wait, isn't that William?" leading to a wave of laughter and admiration on set.
Kim Ji-min and Shin Bong Sun, who were already seated, also poured out continuous praise for his changed visuals.
The two highly evaluated his drastically different impression, saying, "You lost so much," "You look like a movie actor," "You've become handsome," "Your features really stand out now that you've lost weight," and "You look like Russell Crowe."
In response, Hammington directly revealed, "I lost about 30kg," adding his signature witty remark, "Am I no longer a chubby Russell Crowe, but just Russell Crowe now?"
Heo teased him, saying, "You're just pretending to be humble. You know you're handsome," while Shin empathized with Hammington's shy reaction, noting, "People who are originally chubby don't often get told they've 'become pretty' or 'become handsome' in settings like this," drawing more laughter.
Hammington has recently garnered significant attention by sharing his steady dieting process.
Appearing on singer Seo In-young's YouTube channel 'Gaegwacheonseon Seo In-young' last June, he drew headlines by honestly revealing, "I am continuing my weight loss while receiving diet injections."
Since then, he has consistently shared his weight loss journey through his social media (SNS). In particular, he revealed his goal-achieving process by stating he promised his son Bentley that he would shave once his weight dropped below 99kg. When his weight actually decreased to the 97kg range, he garnered great interest by showing a new look with a neatly trimmed beard.
Fans are also offering support for his healthier physique and rejuvenated appearance. Positive reactions continue to pour in, such as "You've rejuvenated," "You look 10 years younger," "You look like a brother rather than the dad of Willbengers," and "It's better to see you because you lost weight healthily."
Hammington married Jung Yu-mi in 2013 and has two sons, William and Bentley. The family received great love under the nickname 'Willbengers' through their appearances on the KBS 2TV variety show 'The Return of Superman,' and they continue to communicate with the public through various broadcasts and content.
