While broadcaster Park Soo Hong has officially apologized for the controversy surrounding a delayed flight departure involving his family, the issue is entering a new phase as allegations arise that critical comments are being deleted from his wife Kim Da Ye's social media accounts.

On the 26th, Park apologized via social media regarding the delay, stating, "We caused great inconvenience by taking away the precious time of many people," and adding, "We also caused harm to the airline officials." He further explained the situation, saying, "The child was crying so much that they couldn't sit down, and in my panic, I made an immature judgment."

On the 23rd, Park's family boarded Korean Air flight KE415 bound for Guam at Incheon International Airport, expressed their intention to disembark, but then reversed that decision. This process delayed the aircraft's departure; according to eyewitness accounts, it took approximately 50 minutes to an hour for bridge reconnection and baggage reprocessing. The aircraft reportedly took off around 11:15 a.m., about 70 minutes later than scheduled.

Video footage circulating at the time captured Park bowing multiple times to apologize to surrounding passengers. In his subsequent apology, Park stated that he had not fully realized that reversing a request to disembark could necessitate significant additional procedures, such as security screenings.

The core of the matter lies in the fact that the incident extends beyond a simple change of heart by a passenger and is linked to aviation security protocols. According to the airline, while a passenger can withdraw a request to disembark if they have not yet exited the aircraft, a voluntary request to disembark can trigger additional security screenings for all passengers under aviation security regulations. Because an individual's decision can impact the schedules of many others, passenger dissatisfaction regarding the delay was reportedly significant.

Some netizens criticized the situation, noting that economy class passengers were forced to wait in the cabin for an extended period, and argued that a delay of around one hour could be a significant setback for passengers traveling to Guam for vacation.
