Son Min-soo Promises Change After Criticism That Lim La-la Is Carrying Childcare Alone

Comedian Son Min-soo bowed his head on a YouTube channel on the 10th, responding to criticism from subscribers that followed a serious knee injury caused by a torn cruciate ligament.

Son explained that he had gone out to play soccer for the first time in a while as a way to relieve stress, only to suffer a major injury in which his anterior cruciate ligament was nearly torn. Because the injury has limited both childcare and ordinary daily activity, he admitted the situation has weighed heavily on him. "I feel heavy-hearted because it seems like our childcare teamwork has fallen apart," he said.

After that update, some subscribers voiced concern that the burden of raising the couple's twins may have become concentrated on his wife, Lim La-la.

Son addressed those comments directly. "What can I say? As I read the comments everyone left, I felt like I was born again. To show more sincerity, I even dyed my hair before coming here," he said, revealing that he had changed his previously yellow hair to black.

Lim said the couple wanted to face the criticism rather than move past it lightly. "To make sure we do not forget the advice that stung, we will spend today reflecting by reading the comments," she said, before the two read through subscriber messages together.

The couple calmly went through a range of opinions and reflected on their own behavior. One comment read, "Min-soo, there is a saying that before pregnancy, a woman is her mother's work, and after marriage, she is her husband's work. Why are you making people see La-la as someone pitiful?" Son replied, "From now on, I will show a happy La-la and show that I am doing well."

Another subscriber wrote, "To put it really strongly, if you want to live without holding back anything you want to do, you should live alone." Son accepted the point, saying, "That's right.
