Restaurant owner's mistake: He didn't realize it was Tzuyang
Mukbang star Tzuyang proves her legendary appetite in Jeju Island after a restaurant owner mistakenly sold part of her 1.4 million won amberjack reservation.
Mukbang creator Tzuyang attempted to eat a massive amberjack worth 1.4 million won in Jeju Island, but a hilarious situation unfolded when the restaurant owner, convinced that "three people could never eat it all," sold part of the reserved fish to other customers. Ultimately, Tzuyang proved her overwhelming appetite once again by delivering an impressive mukbang with only the remaining portion.

In the ENA variety show 'Tzuyang, How Many Meals?' broadcast on the 18th, Tzuyang, entertainer Kim Kwang Kyu, and former martial artist Choi Hong-man were shown enjoying the second day of their mukbang trip to Jeju Island.
The trio had reserved a single, massive amberjack weighing 5.5kg. The price was a staggering 1.4 million won. As it is a top-tier wild species that is difficult to encounter even in Jeju, an unexpected situation unfolded from the reservation stage.
Upon receiving the reservation call, the restaurant owner found it hard to believe that "three people are eating it."
He questioned the reservation, asking, "Usually, this is an amount for 10 to 11 people, so how can three people eat it?"
Tzuyang took the phone herself to explain her eating capacity.
She expressed confidence, saying, "I eat about 10 servings by myself. I can even eat 10kg of yellowtail," but the owner remained skeptical.
"10kg of yellowtail is enough for twenty people. You probably misheard the weight," the owner replied, adding, "Just come first and we will decide after seeing you. I will set the amberjack aside for now."
However, the reality was quite different from the owner's expectations.
After the three arrived at the restaurant, Choi Hong-man introduced himself as the person who made the reservation and asked, "Don't you know who she is?" while pointing at Tzuyang. Only then did the owner recognize her. "I know. Isn't she the person who eats a huge amount?" he said.
He then confessed the unexpected truth with an apologetic expression.
"I absolutely could not believe that three people would eat it all. I didn't know it was Tzuyang coming. So, I decided to give some to other customers as well."
Unaware that the guest was the famous Tzuyang, the owner had judged it impossible for three people to consume the entire fish and had sold a portion to other customers.
Despite the unexpected turn of events, Tzuyang was not flustered at all.
She accepted the situation with a laugh, saying, "Then I will just eat what's left." The trio eventually continued their mukbang by tasting about 2.7kg of amberjack in various ways, including sashimi, special cuts, and clear soup.
The reaction to the 1.4 million won price tag also drew laughter during the broadcast.
Tzuyang worried, "Then the production cost will easily exceed 1 million won," while Choi Hong-man boldly stated, "If it's not enough, I'll chip in. I can afford that much."
However, upon confirming the actual price was 1.4 million won, Choi was momentarily speechless, and Kim Kwang Kyu added, "Then let's both chip in together," turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
Choi even approached the production team to cautiously suggest, "They say a 5kg amberjack is 1.4 million won. If the production cost is insufficient, I said I would chip in, and Kwang Kyu hyung said he would too."
The production team jokingly replied, "We have secured enough production costs," adding, "Actually, the biggest portion of the program's production cost is Tzuyang's food expenses," before readily agreeing, "Let's have Tzuyang eat until she is full today as well."
Tzuyang smiled and expressed her gratitude to the crew.
The surprising part was that the amberjack was not the only thing she ate that day. Before the main meal, Tzuyang had already enjoyed braised and grilled hairtail, and even snacked on kimbap and twisted donuts in the car. She had also eaten mugwort rice cakes and buckwheat makguksu before arriving at the restaurant.
Choi and Kim acted as reliable 'mukbang supporters,' stopping the car to buy food whenever Tzuyang expressed a craving during the trip.
In the end, the restaurant owner's prediction that "three people won't eat a whole amberjack" proved wrong. Although only half remained, Tzuyang once again proved her status as a 'mukbang legend' by easily finishing the remaining 2.7kg of amberjack.
