Yoon Nam-gi and Wife Lee Da-eun Share Realities of Parenting After Remarriage
Yoon Nam-gi and Lee Da-eun, who met on MBN's 'Love After Divorce 2', share the relatable struggles of parenting two children on YouTube.
Yoon Nam-gi and his Wife Lee Da-eun, who remarried after meeting through the MBN variety show 'Love After Divorce 2', are gaining sympathy by revealing the realistic daily life of parenting. Having formed their second family, the couple, who have shown happy moments, are now facing the reality of 'parenting,' a task even greater than love.

On the 29th, a video titled "How long should I keep holding him...?" was released on the YouTube channel 'Namdari Mac.' The video captures small but realistic parenting episodes experienced by Yoon Nam-gi and Lee Da-eun while out with their two children.
The family visited a shopping mall to buy shoes that fit their rapidly growing daughter, Ri-eun. Ri-eun made her parents proud by showing her ability to choose a dress, hair accessories, and a bag all by herself without help from her mother or father.
Lee Da-eun praised her daughter's sense, saying, "It seems like Ri-eun has a sense of fashion," while Yoon Nam-gi chimed in, "She feels like a New Yorker," expressing his affection for his daughter.
However, the peaceful shopping was short-lived as the situation changed with the appearance of their son, Nam-ju. The 22-month-old Nam-ju constantly demanded to be held by his father, Yoon Nam-gi, seeking his father's embrace throughout the outing.
The problem wasn't just asking to be held. Nam-ju bewildered his parents with repetitive behavior: asking to be put down once held, and then asking to be held again once put down.
Watching this, Lee Da-eun confessed, "Because he keeps asking his dad to hold him, it's hard for his dad to go out." She continued, "I mean, if I hold him, he cries to be let down, and if I let him down, he asks to be held again. It's driving me crazy. Why is he being like this?" as she struggled to understand the complex emotions of a 22-month-old.
This scene shows the so-called 'attachment behavior of children around two years old' that many parents can relate to. This is because it is a period when children are able to walk and move on their own, but at the same time, their desire to confirm stability from their parents becomes stronger.
In particular, Nam-ju drew attention by showing a strong attachment to his father, Yoon Nam-gi. He refused to leave his father's side even at the restaurant, and Yoon Nam-gi appeared to find it difficult even to prepare a meal while looking after the child.
Nevertheless, the family atmosphere was filled with laughter. The scene of Yoon Nam-gi barely managing to prepare shabu-shabu ingredients while his daughter Ri-eun briefly soothed Nam-ju was depicted like a scene from a realistic multi-child household.
Yoon Nam-gi and Lee Da-eun developed a relationship and eventually married after meeting through 'Love After Divorce 2,' which ended in 2022. Lee Da-eun started a new family with her daughter Ri-eun from her previous marriage, and later had a son, Nam-ju, with Yoon Nam-gi.
The reason their story is special is that it honestly shows the process of creating a new type of family called a 'remarried family.' Although the remarriage began with love, there is a necessary time afterward to build relationships with the children and learn the role of being a parent.
The appearance of Yoon Nam-gi and Lee Da-eun in this video was more realistic than a glamorous success story of remarriage. It showed the image of ordinary parents laughing and worrying at a child's single word or action. Ultimately, it showed that the process of building a family is about the days that follow the wedding, rather than the wedding itself.
