EJAE debuts as model at Vogue World with intense new look

EJAE, who gained worldwide recognition through the Netflix animated film 'KPop Demon Hunters', appeared on the runway with a completely transformed look. Instead of her familiar lovely image, she drew intense focus from fans by transforming into a model with sharp eyes and an overwhelming presence.

Recently, EJAE released photos and videos on her personal social media account documenting her runway debut as a model. She shared her thoughts, saying, "I am grateful for the opportunity to walk the runway for the first time through Vogue World," and added, "It was an amazing experience to witness such a breathtaking show alongside hundreds of creators."

In the released photos, EJAE displayed an atmosphere quite different from before. Instead of the bright and lovely smile she has shown in the past, she overwhelmed the camera with an intense gaze and a slim silhouette. By presenting a face different from the one people became familiar with through her music, she demonstrated her potential as a model.

Born in Seoul, EJAE is a Korean-American who is active as a songwriter and singer after training at SM Entertainment. Last year, she provided the voice for Rumi, a member of the girl group HUNTR/X, in the Netflix animated film 'KPop Demon Hunters', and also participated in writing, composing, and singing the main OST 'Golden'. As the work and music gained global popularity, she rose to become a global star.

Her stage history is also illustrious. On June 12, EJAE once again drew attention when she took the stage at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 held at the Mexico City Stadium in Mexico, performing the official World Cup theme song 'DNA' alongside Andrea Bocelli.

Interest is now mounting regarding EJAE's next steps as she expands her field of activity from music and animation into fashion. In particular, she is known to be scheduled to marry Korean-American music producer Sam Kim this coming November.
