GREE (real name Kim Dong-hyun), the son of broadcaster Kim Gura, has undergone surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The unexpected injury occurred while he was showcasing his skills during a futsal match intended for socializing. Facing his first major surgery in life, he could not hide his nervousness and drew concern from fans by revealing everything from the process of heading to the hospital to his current status after the surgery.

On the 16th, a video titled "I had surgery... My girlfriend's hospital visit" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Kim Gree'. In the video, GREE revealed the story of his sudden surgery, stating, "I have some bad news. My anterior cruciate ligament is torn." He continued to share the unexpected news of his injury, saying, "I am going for suture surgery today."

The injury occurred while playing futsal to build rapport with male members he is working with due to his appearance in a stage play. GREE explained the situation at the time, saying, "I joined a stage play, and the male members played futsal to get closer to each other for socializing." He added, "While I was showing off some moves back then, my knee went 'snap' and my cruciate ligament tore." A light exercise intended to build friendship resulted in the unexpected outcome of surgery.

Ahead of the surgery, GREE showed signs of nervousness. He confessed, "I have never had sleep anesthesia except for endoscopies," and "I have rarely had a major surgery, but since this is my first major surgery, I was so nervous I couldn't sleep." Even GREE, who usually shows a pleasant side to the public, seemed to find it difficult to hide his anxiety when facing the surgery.

Fortunately, after completing the surgery, GREE began his recovery by eating once his fasting period was lifted. However, while waiting in the hospital room, he continued his characteristic honest talk by mentioning whether his family and girlfriend would visit him. GREE drew laughter when he said, "Why is no one coming to visit me? My father, stepmother, and even my girlfriend said they would come."

However, this did not mean that his family and girlfriend were actually not coming. GREE revealed that his girlfriend was scheduled to visit him shortly after, adding, "Since I am being discharged tomorrow anyway, I told her not to come." He explained that contrary to their worried hearts, he had declined the visit due to his short hospital stay.
