Jang Yoon-jeong Eats Cup Noodles After Late-Night Performance: “We’re All Just Getting By”
A video on Jang Yoon-jeong’s YouTube channel follows her day performing at an event in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, and shows her eating cup noodles at a rest stop on the way home. She said that performers and everyone else are alike in how they make a living, and described the practical challenges of eating after events.
A video following singer Jang Yoon-jeong’s day at an event in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, shows her eating cup noodles at a rest stop on her way home after performing. “We’re all just getting by,” she said, describing the contrast between receiving cheers at a large event venue and eating in a corner after the show.
The video, titled “A Day in the Life of Event Queen Jang Yoon-jeong,” was posted to her YouTube channel on the 15th. It follows her preparations for the regional event through her performance and journey home, showing how she manages a schedule that viewers rarely see up close.
After the performance, Jang stopped at a rest area late at night. An on-screen caption described it as her “first meal in 12 hours,” indicating that she had gone without eating while handling her schedule. She said the rest-stop facilities were all closed because it was so late, so she would have cup noodles, and prepared them herself. “Why are noodles so delicious?” she said, adding that canned tuna, kimchi and sausage make a good combination.
Jang said she does not seek out unusual food after a show. “How many people are around when an event ends? You can’t even get into a restaurant,” she said, explaining the difficulty of finding a place to eat after a performance.
The video also showed her doing her own makeup before heading to the event. “When you look at entertainers, they go around with four or five staff members for makeup, hair and styling, but I find that uncomfortable. So I just do it myself,” she said. She laughed and added, “I’m really a singer who doesn’t cost much. I just go around like this, don’t I?”
She also spoke about how she sees herself on and off stage. “When I’m on stage, I’m aware that I’m a singer. When I come down from the stage, I don’t really recognize that. I’m just a person named me,” she said.
The article noted the couple’s property holdings. Jang and her husband, broadcaster Do Kyung-wan, drew attention after reports that they bought a penthouse at Aper Hangang, a luxury residential complex in Seobinggo-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul, for about 12 billion won in 2024. The duplex has an exclusive-use area of 273.98 square meters and views of the Han River and Yongsan Park. The couple had previously sold their home at Nine One Hannam in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, for about 12 billion won, reportedly making a substantial capital gain.
Jang, who married Do in 2013, has a son, Yeon-woo, and a daughter, Ha-young. The video showed her balancing event appearances and family life in her own way, including her account of doing her own makeup and her late-night meal after the performance.
