Jennie reveals bold 'Fallen Angel' concept in new MV behind-the-scenes
BLACKPINK's Jennie showcases a daring new side, from wire stunts to blue roses, in behind-the-scenes footage for her new music release 'FALLEN ANGEL.'
Jennie, a member of BLACKPINK and a solo artist, has revealed behind-the-scenes footage of her new music release 'FALLEN ANGEL,' showcasing a daring concept that departs from her previously sophisticated image. By performing high-difficulty scenes, such as being suspended upside down on wires and filming inside a water tank, she visually realized the album's narrative of a 'fallen angel.'

On the 28th, Jennie shared photos and videos from the set via her SNS, along with a message saying, "The 'Fallen Angel' music video is out. Please watch it right now." The content released today captures the production process and various concepts for the title track of her digital EP 'Fallen Angel.'
The most eye-catching scene features Jennie portraying a falling angel, suspended upside down on wires while facing strong winds. The direction flips traditional angelic symbols—such as wings and imagery of ascension—to instead place falling and corruption at the forefront. This is interpreted as a scene that visually concretizes the narrative implied by the title 'Fallen Angel.'
In contrast to the intense filming, Jennie also showed a relaxed side on set. During breaks, she displayed her signature bright energy, making playful expressions or gestures as if fluttering her wings. In low-angle shots, her sharp features and intense gaze were emphasized, leaving an impression as if she were standing on the boundary between heaven and earth.
The styling also emphasized the dual emotions of the album. In scenes where she wears an intense red sleeveless dress, she creates a sensual and aggressive atmosphere with sharp shoulder lines and a haughty expression, while her new short hair adds a classical yet mysterious image. The visual direction creates a variation as if a single person is oscillating between an angel and a fallen being, or between purity and desire.
Filming involving water and ice also drew attention. Jennie filmed inside a water tank filled to her waist, and blue roses—which her mother reportedly gifts her every year—were placed inside the ice. Blue roses are generally used as a motif symbolizing ideals, mystery, or unattainable love. In this music video, they serve as a device that combines personal memories with the symbolism of the work.
Such direction aligns with the expansion of the image Jennie has shown in her solo activities. While building mainstream stardom through BLACKPINK, Jennie has composed her solo work by integrating music, fashion, video, and performance into a single unified aesthetic. 'Fallen Angel' focuses on constructing a visual worldview using color, clothing, space, and movement, rather than being a simple music release.
Fans responded enthusiastically to the behind-the-scenes footage, commenting, "My angel is Jennie," "This music video is truly amazing," and "Even the blue rose has a special meaning."
Jennie's 'Fallen Angel' was released in digital EP format on this day. The physical EP consists of a total of 6 songs, adding 'sweettooth,' 'lockitdown,' and 'Face' to the 'FALLEN ANGEL,' 'HEAVEN,' and 'Less than a Lover' tracks included in the digital version. These additional tracks were personally selected by Jennie and are exclusive to the physical album.
As Jennie's solo journey of weaving music, fashion, and visual beauty into a single narrative begins in earnest, interest is growing regarding how 'Fallen Angel' will evolve the artist image she has built.
