Actor Kim Min has revealed the truth behind a curious and absurd anecdote regarding his past capture of an anaconda in New Zealand. While the memory of a desperate struggle with something massive on a beach at night became known as a snake-capturing tale, what he actually encountered was not a snake, but seaweed. The studio erupted in laughter as Kim Min explained the long-standing misunderstanding.

Kim Min appeared on the KBS 1TV program 'Morning Forum' broadcast on the 3rd. He shared various stories alongside Kim Hyung-mook, Park Sung-ho, Lee Sang-hoon, Baek Bong-ki, and Lee Jung-hyun. Attention was focused on Kim Min, who recently drew interest for revealing a unique daily life reminiscent of a nature lover in Dongducheon on the MBC entertainment program 'I Live Alone'.

Making his first appearance on 'Morning Forum', Kim Min could not hide his nervousness regarding the live broadcast. "I am nervous because it is a live broadcast. I don't know what I should do," he confessed, though he created a friendly atmosphere by leaning on Lee Jung-hyun, who appeared in the same work as him.

He also mentioned the changing response from the public. Kim Min stated that while many people in the past recognized him through his roles in works, an increasing number of people now remember and call him by his real name, 'Kim Min'. "Previously, people recognized me through my roles, but now they recognize me by my name," he said, expressing gratitude for the shifting interest.

During the broadcast, the so-called 'anaconda capture rumor' surrounding Kim Min was brought up among several trending anecdotes. Announcer Park Cheol-gyu raised the topic, asking if the story of Kim Min catching a massive snake in the past was actually true. As curiosity regarding the facts grew, Kim Min began to explain the specific situation he experienced in New Zealand at the time.

According to Kim Min's memory, the incident occurred while he was running along the beach at midnight with friends. In the darkness, he stepped on something slippery and was startled by the thought that it might be a snake. Fearing he might be bitten, he grabbed the object and ran while turning his body; after encountering a younger associate who was with him, he threw the object back into the sea. At the time, the experience remained a shocking memory without him having the chance to properly identify what it was.

However, Kim Min revealed there was a decisive twist to this anecdote. He surprised the cast by stating, "Actually, there are no snakes in New Zealand," before confessing that what he had grabbed was not a snake, but a type of seaweed. The experience known as catching an anaconda was actually a happening caused by stepping on massive seaweed at the beach.

Kim Min smiled as he explained that he stepped forward to clear up the misunderstanding. Emphasizing the size of the seaweed he encountered, he added, "If you look it up, it is truly much taller than a person." Laughter continued in the studio as the story, which had been passed down like a heroic tale of battling a giant snake, was revealed to be an unexpected natural phenomenon.
