Hwang Min-woo and Hwang Min-ho launch OrPICK. ENTERTAINMENT agency
Hwang Min-woo, known as "Little PSY," is launching an independent agency alongside his brother Hwang Min-ho to pursue new musical ventures, including a targeted expansion into the Vietnamese music market.
Brothers Hwang Min-woo and Hwang Min-ho have established OrPICK. ENTERTAINMENT following the amicable termination of their contracts with Choi Creative Lab on the 31st of last month. While Hwang Min-ho prepares a new album, Hwang Min-woo is currently filming a music video to target the Vietnamese music market.
“Little PSY” Hwang Min-woo is taking a new leap forward by establishing an independent agency alongside his brother, Hwang Min-ho. As Hwang Min-woo, who gained recognition both domestically and internationally since childhood, uses the establishment of this one-person agency as a stepping stone to pursue overseas market expansion, attention is focused on the brothers' future moves.
The brothers Hwang Min-woo and Hwang Min-ho concluded their exclusive contracts with Choi Creative Lab on the 31st of last month. Both parties settled their existing relationship amicably and are preparing for their respective new starts while supporting each other's futures. It has noted that the separation from their previous agency was a conclusion based on mutual respect rather than conflict or discord.
Following the termination of their contract, the two brothers established a new agency, OrPICK. ENTERTAINMENT. Having secured an independent foundation for their activities, they plan to more actively express their unique colors across various fields, including broadcasting, performances, and music. This move is interpreted as an effort to secure new growth engines by directly building their own activity directions and content, rather than simply moving to a different agency.
In particular, the older brother Hwang Min-woo is making full preparations to enter the Vietnamese music market. Having caught the eyes of viewers worldwide with his intense dancing and expressions in the music video for PSY's global hit "Gangnam Style," he garnered attention both at home and abroad with the nickname "Little PSY." Attention is focused on whether Hwang Min-woo, who gained public recognition at a young age through that appearance, can connect his past fame to new activities as he challenges the overseas market as a singer.
Currently, Hwang Min-woo is proceeding with the release of a new song and the filming of a music video aimed at local activities in Vietnam. He plans to gradually expand his field of activity by presenting content that considers the tastes of the local music market and the public. This is an attempt to create contact points with overseas fans in a different way from the global stage he experienced through "Gangnam Style" in his childhood.
The younger brother Hwang Min-ho is also accelerating his musical activities. He is accelerating work on a new song with the goal of releasing a new album, and he is expected to showcase more mature music by utilizing his characteristic deep sensibility and explosive vocal skills. While his older brother focuses on pioneering the overseas market, Hwang Min-ho appears to be focusing on expanding his musical capabilities and individuality as a singer through his new song.
They have also prepared an online stage to share their daily lives and activity processes. The two have opened the YouTube channel "This Stop Is Minwoo Minho Station" and plan to reveal various aspects, from music production to the process of preparing for broadcasts and performances. This is expected to draw interest from fans, as it will feature not only the brothers' chemistry on stage but also the process of running their new agency and their individual challenges as content.
Hwang Min-woo and Hwang Min-ho previously appeared as individual contestants on TV CHOSUN's "Mr. Trot 2," where they demonstrated both their brotherhood and musical talent. The brothers, who have an eight-year age difference, also drew interest due to their different personalities and musical colors. Now, while carrying out their respective activities under the same agency, they are moving toward new goals such as overseas expansion and the release of new albums. Attention is focused on the brothers' second start and what achievements they will create as independent artists beyond the past name "Little PSY."
