Lee Chaeyeon sparks optical illusion confusion with ice cream photo

Singer Lee Chaeyeon has drawn unexpected attention with a casual photo of her enjoying an ice cream snack. While a slender object held in her mouth momentarily resembled a cigarette, the object's true identity was simply a small spoon used for eating ice cream.

Lee recently shared several photos capturing her daily life on her SNS.

In the released images, Lee is seen sitting comfortably indoors, enjoying a relaxing moment with ice cream. In one shot, she holds an ice cream cup, while in another, she strikes a natural pose looking at the camera with a spoon in her mouth.

This particular shot created a peculiar optical illusion. Due to the camera angle, the length of the spoon, and the positioning near her mouth, it appeared as if she were holding a cigarette. The indoor setting further contributed to the momentary impression of smoking.

However, upon closer inspection, the reality was quite different. What Lee held in her mouth was not a cigarette, but a small spoon. A casual snapshot taken without any specific intent ended up causing an unexpected misunderstanding due to the accidental composition.

Lee's effortless style also caught the eyes of fans. She achieved a sophisticated yet understated look by pairing a white top with a long skirt, a polka-dot scarf, and a black shoulder bag.

In contrast to her image as a performer known for intense stage presence, these photos capture her relaxed everyday life. Her unadorned, candid moment seems to have drawn significant fan interest due to the accidental visual illusion.

Since her activities with Iz*One, Lee has established herself as a solo artist, carving out her own space in the industry with releases such as “HUSH RUSH”, “KNOCK”, and “LET’S DANCE”. She continues to build her career through dynamic performances fueled by her solid dance skills and a bright, approachable image.

This instance is a case where a fleeting moment from daily life became a hot topic without any grand production. Once the object was revealed to be a small ice cream spoon, the focus shifted from a potential "smoking controversy" to an unexpected optical illusion and a glimpse into Lee's modest daily life.
