On the 18th, a video titled 'Making Watermelon Slushies to Wrap Up a Rowdy Summer' was released on the YouTube channel 'Fun House.' In the video, Moon and Soyul discussed the recent bruise around Hui-u's eye while spending time with their family to wrap up the summer.

Pointing to Hui-u's eye, Moon said, "We have to explain why the 'kiss bruise' happened. We were misunderstood."

Hui-u, appearing in the video, had a dark bruise around one eye.

Soyul explained the specific circumstances of the injury. She stated, "While playing by rolling around on this sofa, an iPad fell on his eye, causing the bruise." The child was playing on the sofa when the electronic device he was holding fell toward his face, injuring the area around his eye.

Moon explained how the bruise worsened immediately after the accident. He said, "It has been almost 3 weeks now. It fell right above the eyebrow, a bump formed, and then the bruise gradually moved down until it completely covered the eye."

He explained that while swelling initially appeared above the eyebrow, the bruise seemed to spread downward over time. Moon added that the condition was much worse than it is now, saying, "It was actually black originally. It was very severe. It's only looking faint now because it has somewhat healed."

The issue was that because the area around the child's eye remained dark for a long period, onlookers speculated about the situation without knowing the actual circumstances. Moon mentioned the public perception at the time, saying, "We were somewhat misunderstood," and Soyul added, "We were misunderstood and even went to the emergency room."

In particular, Hui-u's behavior at the time also influenced the couple's concern regarding public perception. Moon shared an anecdote from a toy store, asking, "Do you know how Hui-u made the misunderstanding even worse?"

He shared, "He went to the toy store and was playing so much that his mom said, 'You shouldn't do that,' but he reportedly said, 'Don't scold me, don't scold me.'"

While it was simply a situation where the child was being restrained from playing, the fact that he was pleading with his mother while having a severe bruise around his eye meant that third parties could have interpreted the situation differently.

Moon repeated, "His eye turned black and bruised, and since the child was acting like that, wouldn't people think it's strange? They might think his mother is a scary mother."

Soyul also expressed her embarrassment regarding the situation.

However, according to the couple, Hui-u's bruise was an accident caused by an iPad falling on his face while playing on the sofa. They explained that the bruise remained visible for a long time because the color and range of the bruise changed as time passed after the injury.

Soyul expressed her heartache, saying, "I have truly never seen a child with a bruise on their eye like this."

From a parent's perspective, even if it was a simple household accident, the fact that a large bruise occurred on the face, especially around the eye, led to significant worry during the recovery process.

Moon also shared the difficulties of parenting by mentioning his son's active personality. He said, "You can't take your eyes off your son for even a moment. It's peaceful, and then suddenly, he gets hurt."

This was a witty expression of the characteristics of young children, where unexpected accidents occur the moment one lets their guard down.

Safety accidents involving young children can occur even in everyday living spaces. Especially during a period when movement is frequent and curiosity about surrounding objects is high, familiar items such as furniture, toys, and electronic devices can momentarily become the cause of an accident. The couple explained that Hui-u's case was a domestic accident that occurred in a situation unintended by the parents.

After explaining the accident, Moon and Soyul shifted the video from the heavy atmosphere back to daily life, spending the end of summer with their family. Moon said, "First, to treat the 'kiss bruise' and to beautifully decorate the end of summer, let's go prepare the ingredients," and began preparing to make summer fruit punch with the family.

The reason the couple felt the need to explain the bruise was not merely to share their family's daily life. Since the bruise on the child's face was so visible for an extended period, the parents felt compelled to directly address the public's gaze and clear up any misunderstandings.

Moon and Soyul married in 2017 and have one son and one daughter. The couple has shared their family life through SNS and various broadcasts, and recently has been showcasing their daily lives with their children through YouTube content.
