As absurd speculations arise regarding the life or death of rapper and producer Perry, formerly of YG Entertainment, who has been missing for 16 years, Song Baek-gyeong of 1TYM has erupted in anger. A shaman mentioned the possibility that he has already passed away while interpreting Perry's photo and fortune. Song Baek-gyeong, who has been worrying about the well-being of a colleague with whom contact has been lost for a long time, strongly criticized the attitude of recklessly concluding someone's life and death through unverified remarks.

On the 12th, Song Baek-gyeong posted a message targeting the shaman on his account. He expressed his unpleasant feelings, saying, "Ma'am. I didn't really want to see your video either, but I happened to see it. But even I felt a chill." He went on to mock the other's remarks, saying, "I could see something pitch-black with my own eyes. I'm not sure if that is your true heart, though." This implies he was so angry after encountering speculations regarding his colleague's life or death that it was difficult to endure.

The level of criticism escalated further. Song Baek-gyeong questioned the shaman's attitude of asking questions about Perry's life and death and his trip to the United States, only to seemingly reach a conclusion based on her own senses and speculation, saying, "Is this person alive? When did he go to the United States? After asking everything that could be asked. What do you mean by saying you're doing it with tact?" He even unleashed sharp expressions targeting her appearance, stating, "Needle marks are visible on your face too. It feels like you got discounts on your eyes and nose."

He directly criticized the behavior of lightly mentioning the life or death of others, asking, "What do you know to speak so recklessly about the living and the dead of another person's life?" He added, "Maybe this is why I have an unprovoked hatred for shamans. Ma'am. You look pitch-black. I mean your true heart." However, Song Baek-gyeong's remarks are a personal criticism of the shaman's speculation and do not mean that Perry's actual life or death or current situation has been confirmed.

The origin of the controversy is a series of videos on YouTube featuring the interpretation of Perry's fortune. After looking at Perry's photo, a female shaman claimed she "didn't want to see it" and that his face and pupils looked pitch-black. She then raised questions regarding whether Perry is actually alive, saying, "I don't think this person is here. That is how I feel." She also made claims such as seeing 'needles,' suggesting the possibility that Perry might be in a bad situation. However, this is merely the shaman's personal interpretation and is not objective evidence proving Perry's life or death or whereabouts.

Perry is a musician who was part of the early days of YG Entertainment. He formed a connection with YG by participating in the debut album work of Jinusean in 1997, and subsequently was involved in the musical work of various singers including Yang Hyun-suk, Jinusean, 1TYM, Seven, Lexy, Gummy, and BIGBANG. In 2001, he also promoted as a rapper by releasing a solo album. In particular, he is known as a person who participated in the early musical work of BIGBANG, making him a name that is difficult to omit when discussing the early musical color of YG.

However, since being spotted in LA, United States in 2010, Perry's clear recent status has not been known. Because contact has been lost for a long time, curiosity from fans and colleagues who remember him continues. Last month, the production team of SBS's "Unanswered Questions" also requested reports regarding Perry's recent status, drawing attention back to his whereabouts. However, it is difficult to conclude where and how he is living based only on the information publicly confirmed to date.

Song Baek-gyeong also left a long post worrying about Perry last January. In a situation where interest and worry for a colleague whose news has been cut off for a long time continue, it is interpreted that he expressed displeasure as unverified speculations about life or death were consumed as online content. Being curious about someone's whereabouts and the act of concluding unverified facts are strictly different. In particular, it is pointed out that when dealing with serious issues like life and death, verifiable facts and a cautious attitude should take precedence over provocative expressions or personal senses.
