In this category, aespa, BLACKPINK, ILLIT, and LE SSERAFIM were also nominated to compete alongside TWICE, and TWICE claimed the honor on their second nomination.

BTS, who won the Artist of the Year—the grand prize of the AMA—also took home the Best Male K-pop Artist award.

TWICE, who debuted on October 20, 2015, is a 9-member multinational girl group under JYP Entertainment. They have released numerous hit songs, including 'OOH-AHH', 'TT', 'KNOCK KNOCK', 'What is Love?', 'FANCY', and 'Alcohol-Free'.

Since July of last year, they have been holding their world tour 'THIS IS FOR' in 43 cities worldwide. During the North American tour that concluded in Austin last April, approximately 550,000 people attended, making history as the K-pop girl group that mobilized the largest audience ever in North America.

Furthermore, in Japan, they became the first overseas artist to hold a solo concert at the Tokyo National Stadium.

Currently on their European tour, TWICE has completed performances in Lisbon, Barcelona, Paris, Turin, Berlin, and Cologne, and will take the stage in Amsterdam on the 30th and 31st.
