Rapper Yang Hong-won filmed using profanity toward fans after club performance
Rapper Yang Hong-won is facing renewed scrutiny after a video surfaced showing him using profanity toward fans following a club performance, coinciding with allegations of infidelity raised shortly after his marriage.
A video surfaced on the 25th showing rapper Yang Hong-won shouting profanities at fans in Suwon following a performance on the 19th of last month. The footage comes as his agency, AP Alchemy, denies infidelity allegations raised on the 23rd and files complaints against an informant for extortion and defamation.

As rapper Yang Hong-won finds himself embroiled in controversy over allegations of infidelity following his marriage, a video has surfaced showing him meeting with fans after a club performance on the same day the allegations were raised. The footage captures Yang Hong-won shouting harsh profanities at fans on the street. However, the person who filmed the scene noted that the atmosphere at the time was different from what is depicted in the video.
On the 25th, a short video began spreading on social media with a description suggesting it showed "the scene that night amidst Yang Hong-won's infidelity allegations." In the video, Yang Hong-won is seen conversing with fans on the street after finishing a performance at a club in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, on the 19th of last month. During this interaction, he unleashed unrestrained profanity toward the fans. With public attention focused on his private life controversies following his marriage, the past footage is drawing various reactions online.
The informant who filmed the video stated they recorded it out of curiosity after seeing Yang Hong-won returning home from a close distance. They explained that the video was not maliciously edited and added that while he may appear angry in the footage, his fan service was actually good at the scene. It is reported that the original video taken at the time has also been released on social media. While it is difficult to judge the entire situation based solely on the harsh expressions in the video, the atmosphere is one where Yang Hong-won's past actions are being re-examined in conjunction with the recent controversy.
Yang Hong-won was hit with infidelity allegations on the 23rd, just five days after his wedding. An informant, referred to as B, claimed that Yang Hong-won went to a motel with another woman immediately after his wedding and released related video footage and call recordings. Because the allegations were raised immediately after the significant commitment of marriage, the impact spread quickly. However, as the claims have been denied by the parties involved, the facts have not been confirmed.
The woman identified as A, who was allegedly involved, claimed she has never met Yang Hong-won and explained that at the time, Yang Hong-won was on the bed while she merely fell asleep on the floor, and there was no physical contact or inappropriate behavior. Yang Hong-won's agency, AP Alchemy, also fully denied the infidelity allegations, stating that while he did accompany her in a heavily intoxicated state, there were no acts of affection. The agency announced that it has filed complaints against the initial informant, B, for extortion, violation of the Stalking Punishment Act, and defamation by spreading false information. With the claims of both sides conflicting, attention is focused on whether the facts will be determined through future investigations and legal proceedings.
Despite the ongoing controversy, Yang Hong-won is continuing his performance activities. On the 24th, he took the stage at the 'SKA Festival' held at the KBS Arena in Seoul to sing his song 'Rose'. In particular, he drew attention by singing the lyric "Come back to me, Won Hyun-ju" without modifying it. As the lyrics, which are reminiscent of his wife Won Hyun-ju, drew renewed attention amidst the controversy, views regarding his stage activities are divided.
Yang Hong-won first made a name for himself by winning the first season of Mnet's 'High School Rapper' in 2017 and has since shown a strong presence in the hip-hop scene, such as becoming the runner-up on 'Show Me the Money 8'. While he was noted for his unique rap style and delivery, he has also been embroiled in various noises, including past school violence controversies. This time, he is once again under public scrutiny as infidelity allegations following his marriage and the surrounding legal battle overlap.
From the re-spreading of the video from the club performance to the conflicting claims of the parties involved in the infidelity allegations and his performance activities amidst the controversy, interest surrounding Yang Hong-won is not easily subsiding. However, as the scenes in the video and the infidelity allegations are separate matters, it is necessary to observe the facts to be confirmed through the explanations of the parties and legal proceedings rather than judging the reality of the case based solely on online reactions.
