Won Hyeon-ju's past parenting struggles resurface amid Yang Hong-won infidelity allegations
Videos of Won Hyeon-ju discussing the difficulties of raising their daughter alone have resurfaced following infidelity allegations against rapper Yang Hong-won, who denies the claims.
Videos of Won Hyeon-ju discussing the hardships of raising their daughter, Lua, have regained public attention following allegations that rapper Yang Hong-won visited a motel with another woman five days after his wedding. While his agency, AP Alchemy, admitted Yang entered the motel while intoxicated, they denied the infidelity allegations and announced legal action against the whistleblower.
As rapper Yang Hong-won strongly denies allegations of infidelity surfacing just five days after his wedding, a video of his wife, Won Hyeon-ju, tearfully sharing the hardships of parenting has regained public attention. The footage, which highlights the mother's emotional struggle while watching their daughter miss her father during his frequent absences for music work and events, is being re-examined. However, no direct connection has been confirmed between her past remarks in the video and the current allegations.
Recently, videos from the YouTube channel 'Yang Hong-won's Parenting Diary' have been widely shared across online communities and social media. In particular, a vlog titled 'Vlog of parenting while crying all day' released last month captures Won Hyeon-ju's emotional exhaustion from caring for their child alone while Yang Hong-won was away on busy schedules. As interest in the couple grows due to the controversy following the wedding, the conversations and tears in the video are being reinterpreted by the public.
In the video, Won Hyeon-ju recalled a period when she and Yang Hong-won experienced a cold war before reconciling. She explained that while she pretended to be fine being with their daughter, Lua, during times when her husband was unreachable due to his schedule, her anger had been accumulating over time. "I felt that I couldn't go on like this, so I hit the brakes," she said, explaining that she felt the need to reflect on their relationship rather than suppressing her emotions.
Won Hyeon-ju particularly emphasized making sure their daughter felt connected to her father. "It seems like Lua also feels her father's absence. She misses her dad so much," she said. She added that her only wish for Yang Hong-won was for them to have video calls so that their daughter could frequently see his face and hear his voice.
The wife also highlighted the importance of the couple expressing affection in front of their child. She mentioned her wish for "hugging and kissing in front of Lua to show a lot of affection." This is interpreted as her desire to ensure the child feels sufficient parental love even during conflicts between the couple, revealing her attentiveness to both her relationship and her daughter's emotional well-being.
Won Hyeon-ju eventually broke into tears while discussing her daughter's behavior at daycare. She explained that when Lua sees other children getting into cars, she tries to follow suit by saying, "Me too, me too," before becoming unable to continue speaking. Recalling her own lonely childhood, she was unable to control her emotions, noting that the influence of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) also played a role at the time.
As the scene spread following the infidelity allegations against Yang Hong-won, some netizens focused on the emotions behind Won Hyeon-ju's tears. Reactions included comments such as, "It breaks my heart to think how much she had to endure," and "The daughter needs her father; I hope he treats his family well." Conversely, it is noted that the emotional scenes from the past video should not be used to conclude the actual state of the couple's relationship or the cause of their past conflicts.
A past incident, known as the 'zero following incident' mentioned by Yang Hong-won during a live broadcast, has also been brought up. At the time, when asked why he deleted his entire following list, including female accounts, Yang Hong-won stated, "My girlfriend told me to delete them all. It's hard for me too." This remark previously drew attention to their dating style and relationship.
Subsequently, Won Hyeon-ju explained on YouTube that her request was not intended for him to delete all women. She meant for him to remove accounts of women who might view him as a man and approach him privately. In response, Yang Hong-won said he deleted everyone because he thought, "If I'm going to do that, why not just delete them all?" He suggested this was part of a plan to meet Won Hyeon-ju again. At the time, the couple appeared relatively calm while discussing the matter.
The current controversy stems from allegations that Yang Hong-won went to a motel with another woman just before his wedding. Yang Hong-won and Won Hyeon-ju registered their marriage in 2023 and had their daughter, Lua, in 2024. They have communicated with the public through content documenting their daily parenting life and recently announced a new start for their family with their wedding. However, on the 23rd, five days after the wedding, the controversy escalated when an individual, identified as 'A', claiming to be an acquaintance of Yang Hong-won, alleged that Yang had visited a motel with another woman approximately three to four weeks before the wedding. 'A' also released related messages and call recordings.
His agency, AP Alchemy, admitted that Yang Hong-won did accompany the woman to the motel but denied the allegations of infidelity. The agency stated that he only entered the motel to sleep because he was intoxicated and that no sexual acts occurred. The agency also claimed that the whistleblower is attempting to extort money through threats and has announced legal action. While various interpretations are emerging online due to reports that the woman involved liked social media posts related to Yang Hong-won's daughter, such circumstances alone cannot be used to determine if infidelity occurred.
An anecdote where Yang Hong-won previously shared that he left a movie theater because he felt uncomfortable watching a scene involving infidelity is also being discussed again. While some react by saying they find the current allegations hard to believe based on this, others advise caution, stating that current allegations should not be judged by past remarks. As the explanations from the agency and the claims of the whistleblower conflict, it is difficult to accept either side's claim as definitive until the specific facts are confirmed.
Attention is also focused on their social media relationship. Yang Hong-won and Won Hyeon-ju have currently unfollowed each other. However, since the two have directly stated in the past that they occasionally unfollowed each other during their dating period, it is difficult to conclude that their relationship has completely changed based solely on this situation. Speculation continues as advertisements featuring Won Hyeon-ju and daughter Lua have been deleted from the official websites and social media of the brands involved.
Ultimately, public attention is directed not only toward the truth of the infidelity allegations but also toward the situation facing Won Hyeon-ju and her young daughter. While the tears shown in the past video reflect the emotions felt within parenting and the marital relationship, they do not serve as evidence of the current allegations. Yang Hong-won's side has denied the infidelity and announced legal action against the whistleblower. With opposing claims clashing, interest is focused on objective facts and the subsequent positions of the parties involved rather than unverified speculation.
