Former BIGBANG member Seungri revealed on the 28th that he has already completed marriage registration with his non-celebrity partner. While the couple is expecting a child early next year, Seungri stated he is not currently considering holding a wedding ceremony.

Former BIGBANG member Seungri (Lee Seung-hyun, 36) has been confirmed to be a married man who has already completed marriage registration. While rumors of pregnancy before marriage surfaced following news that he is dating a non-celebrity woman in her 20s and expecting a child, Seungri clarified that the two are already legally a married couple. This clarification addresses the misunderstanding caused by the news of the upcoming birth being released before the news of the marriage.

According to Seungri on the 28th, his wife is currently pregnant and is expected to give birth early next year. Although news broke the previous day that Seungri is waiting for a child with his non-celebrity girlfriend in her 20s, it has been revealed that their relationship is not merely that of lovers, but that of a married couple who has registered their marriage.

Because the news of the childbirth was disclosed first, some speculated it was a pregnancy before marriage. However, Seungri denied such observations by revealing that they have already completed marriage registration. It is reported, however, that there are currently no plans to hold a separate wedding ceremony. He stated, "At the moment, I am not considering a wedding ceremony."

The two are reportedly focusing on preparing for the birth and prenatal care for the time being. As the marriage and pregnancy news drew simultaneous attention due to the private life of a celebrity, Seungri appears to be placing more weight on preparing for the birth with his family rather than on wedding plans.

Seungri previously drew attention by mentioning his family in an interview with Gray News. While discussing responsibility at the time, he remarked, "I have a family to protect." While the specific meaning of that statement was not known at the time, it has gained renewed attention following the news of his marriage registration and his wife's pregnancy.

Separately from his private life, the recent allegations of assault remain an ongoing controversy. Seungri was recently sued on charges of assaulting another customer at a restaurant. The complainant claims to have been assaulted and threatened by Seungri and his party at a restaurant in Gangnam District, Seoul, this past August.

Seungri's side is denying the allegations. Yoon Jae-bin, an attorney at Surim Law Firm and legal representative, stated in a position paper on the 23rd, "It is true that he picked up a soju bottle, but he did not swing or strike [the complainant]." While admitting to the fact that the bottle was picked up, he denied the suspicion that it was used to assault the other party.

The attorney explained that after the complaint was filed, the complainant's side contacted them to request a settlement, but Seungri determined that he could not conclude the case by admitting to actions he did not actually commit. He further stated the position of submitting relevant materials to investigative agencies to clarify the facts, emphasizing that the final judgment rests with the investigative agencies and the court. Seungri has also expressed his intention to participate sincerely in the upcoming investigation.

While interest in Seungri's private life is focused on the news of his marriage registration and becoming a father early next year, his personal situation regarding the upcoming birth and the legal judgment regarding the assault allegations need to be viewed separately. Interest remains in what conclusion Seungri, who is facing new responsibilities while starting a family, will reach in the ongoing case.
