Rapper Yang Hong-won has drawn attention for sharing Drake lyrics on Instagram following allegations of infidelity and visits to Halloween clubs. The post comes after Yang Hong-won married Won Hyun-ju on the 18th of last month, just five days before a whistleblower raised concerns regarding his conduct at an accommodation facility.

Rapper Yang Hong-won, who has faced consecutive controversies involving allegations of infidelity and visits to Halloween clubs immediately after his wedding, is drawing attention for sharing meaningful song lyrics on social media. Following the release of lyrics containing the phrase "We are not, a relationship to end easily," interpretations have emerged suggesting the post might be a message directed at his wife, Won Hyun-ju. However, as Yang Hong-won provided no additional explanation, it is difficult to determine the actual intention of the post.

On the 31st of last month, Yang Hong-won uploaded a video to his Instagram Story featuring the song "WNBA" by Canadian rapper Drake. While there were no special explanations or captions, the specific lyrics he chose have drawn eyes as they coincide with recent controversies surrounding his private life.

The lyrics in the video include lines such as "It feels like we are drifting apart" and "The road I am taking to you. I want to see you in person and say what I want to say." This is followed by "We are not, a relationship to end easily," "Whether at home or far away, this isn't it," and "You are the only person who truly cannot be explained." The lyrics convey emotions of being unable to easily let someone go even as the relationship drifts apart.

Because there was no direct explanation in the post, interpretations have been divided. Amid intense interest in Yang Hong-won's recent controversies and his married life, some have raised the possibility that it could be an indirect message to his wife, Won Hyun-ju. On the other hand, some view it as simply sharing a favorite song without any specific person in mind. Ultimately, with no separate explanation from the party involved, there are limits to interpreting the lyrics in connection with his actual marital relationship.

Yang Hong-won married Won Hyun-ju, with whom he dated for approximately eight years, on the 18th of last month. The couple had already completed their marriage registration in 2023 and welcomed a daughter in November 2024. As the wedding followed a long courtship and childbirth, it drew attention as a new beginning for the couple. However, the celebratory atmosphere quickly turned into controversy following unexpected revelations immediately after the wedding.

On the 23rd of last month, five days after the wedding, allegations of infidelity surfaced when it was revealed that Yang Hong-won had accompanied another woman to an accommodation facility. While his agency admitted that Yang Hong-won went to the facility with the woman, they denied the allegations, stating that no affectionate acts occurred inside the room. Furthermore, the agency announced that they have filed complaints against the whistleblower for extortion, violations of the Stalking Punishment Act, and defamation by spreading false information. The fact of accompanying someone to an accommodation facility and the allegation of infidelity are matters that must be viewed separately.

Subsequently, the whistleblower, identified as "A," appeared on the YouTube channel Gray News and stated that while they saw Yang Hong-won and the woman entering the accommodation facility, "To be honest, I don't know about the infidelity. I didn't see any scenes of them engaging in infidelity." A also explained that the whistleblower wrote the exposé out of resentment toward the agency's response after attempting to borrow 300,000 won from Yang Hong-won. Following the initial exposé, the controversy has developed in a complex manner due to the rebuttals from the involved party and additional statements from the whistleblower.

The private life controversies continued during the Halloween period. On the 31st of last month, photos and videos showing Yang Hong-won being spotted in the Hongdae area of Seoul spread across online communities and social media. A video showing him holding a microphone and rapping was also posted on the official Instagram account of a club in Hongdae. As the public eye turned back to him, the footage of his club visit was released while the allegations following his wedding had not yet fully subsided.

Yang Hong-won also recently deleted a caption he had written on his wedding photos that read, "Hyun-ju, I love you. I still feel like I'm entering the Cheonho-dong motel." However, he left the wedding photos taken with his wife intact and has not offered any position regarding the reason for deleting the text. With this sharing of song lyrics, every single social media post is becoming a subject of interpretation regarding the couple's relationship.

The consecutive controversies following the wedding and the meaningful social media posts are increasing public curiosity regarding Yang Hong-won's private life. However, it is impossible to judge whether the lyrics are a message to Won Hyun-ju or the current state of their relationship based solely on a song. Ultimately, what draws interest is not the ambiguous phrases themselves, but whether Yang Hong-won will release a position following the controversy and whether there are actual changes in the couple's relationship.
