Person A, the whistleblower who raised infidelity suspicions against rapper Yang Hong-won on the 23rd, apologized and admitted they are unsure if an affair actually occurred. Following Yang's wedding on the 18th, the individual also confessed to telling one lie in previous social media posts intended to attract attention.

Person A, the whistleblower who first raised allegations of infidelity against rapper Yang Hong-won, has abruptly stepped back. While claiming to have witnessed Yang Hong-won going to a motel with a woman, Person A stated they do not know what happened inside and expressed, "To be honest, I am not sure if it was an affair." As the allegations, which surfaced just five days after Yang's wedding, enter a new phase, controversy is growing regarding the motive and credibility of the initial disclosure.

On the 29th, a video titled "[Exclusive] Interview with Yang Hong-won's Infidelity Allegation Whistleblower" was released on the YouTube channel Gray News. In the interview, Person A introduced themselves as a childhood friend of Yang Hong-won. They explained that they reconnected after a long time and were the party who first raised the suspicions of Yang Hong-won's infidelity via social media on the 23rd.

The background for Person A's disclosure involved financial issues and emotional conflict. They claimed that they requested a loan of 300,000 won from Yang Hong-won due to an urgent need for money. After Yang accepted, Person A claimed they felt insulted by expressions used by Yang's agency and lawyer during the communication process, which felt as though they were being belittled. Person A emphasized that money was not the direct reason for the disclosure, stating they would have exposed the situation even if they had received the money, had they heard the lawyer's words.

However, regarding the core allegation, Person A showed a difference in stance compared to previous claims. While explaining that they witnessed Yang Hong-won and a woman moving to a motel together after drinking at their house, Person A drew a line by stating they do not know what occurred inside the motel room. When asked if they were certain of Yang Hong-won's infidelity, they replied, "To be honest, I am not sure if it was an affair." This implies that, unlike when the suspicions were first raised, they cannot conclude whether infidelity occurred.

Person A expressed embarrassment that the situation escalated more than expected. "I didn't think the matter would grow this large in the first place," they said, apologizing to Yang Hong-won by saying, "I am so sorry." Regarding the previous claim that they had received money from the agency, Person A admitted there was one lie among what they had said, explaining that the post was written merely to attract attention. However, further verification is required to determine specifically which claim was false.

Previously, on the 23rd, Person A posted on social media, "A newlywed groom just went to a motel with a woman. Isn't this wrong?" raising the suspicion of Yang Hong-won's infidelity. The impact was amplified at the time as the face of the woman who accompanied him was also revealed. Because it was a controversy regarding private life immediately following a marriage, public attention was concentrated, and Yang Hong-won's side immediately moved to refute the claims.

The agency stated that the whistleblower's claims are different from the facts and that the provided materials are the result of malicious editing. While acknowledging the fact that Yang Hong-won and the woman went to a motel, the agency maintains that the whistleblower demanded they move to a specific motel. They explained that Yang Hong-won was in a heavily intoxicated state and was looking for a place to sleep, and the woman, having nowhere else to go, accompanied him out of necessity.

The agency further claimed that as soon as Yang Hong-won entered the room, he fell asleep, and the woman tried to wake him before requesting help from the whistleblower. The agency's explanation is that the woman subsequently went home with Person A. In essence, they are flatly denying the infidelity allegations, suggesting that the fact of going to the motel together is a separate issue from what actually occurred inside.

As the controversy continued, a third party, Person B, made claims targeting Person A. Person B alleged that Person A manipulated related messages and materials to extort money and brought the woman to the motel. Person B also requested a report on social media, claiming that Person A fled with 5 million won of their money. However, these are claims publicly raised by Person B and have not been verified as facts.

Yang Hong-won had a daughter in November 2024 with Won Hyun-ju, whom he has been dating since 2017, and held a wedding ceremony on the 18th. As the allegations of infidelity surfaced immediately after forming a family following a long relationship, the celebratory atmosphere was instantly replaced by controversy. With the whistleblower's change of stance, the agency's rebuttal, and additional claims from a third party, the case is turning into a complex battle over the truth. However, based on the information released so far, it is difficult to confirm what actually happened in the motel. Attention is focused on whether the whistleblower's apology and reversal of claims can calm the controversy surrounding the suspicions.
