On the 24th, Yang shared the news of her marriage directly through social media, stating, “Everyone, I am getting married.”
“At first, it didn't feel real, but it feels more real every single day,” she said. “I was originally planning to marry early next year, but incredibly, a new life has been granted to us, so I will become a mother next year at the age of 40. Therefore, we are moving the wedding forward a little bit.”
She also spoke candidly about her feelings leading up to the wedding. “Forming a family has been one of the greatest wishes in my heart for a long time,” Yang stated. “I have finally been allowed to have a family with the person I love.”
Expressing her affection for her fiancé, she added, “In some ways, the two of us are very different, but in other ways, we have many similarities. Because he allows me to see parts of things that I couldn't see before, I am becoming a step more mature while loving him.”
“Above all, he is a person who has allowed me to meet God more deeply and closely than before, and someone I want to live with within faith,” she added.
The identity of the groom, revealed alongside wedding photos, was musical actor Yang Jun-mo. Yang also announced his remarriage through his own account on the same day, disclosing for the first time that he had been divorced in 2023.
“There was a thankful and beloved person who became a warm strength by my side during the time I was steadily rebuilding my life after such difficult times, and who helped me find my smile again,” Yang Jun-mo stated. “I am now planning to start a new life as one family with that person, who made me realize once again how precious an ordinary day spent together is.”
He expressed his expectations for his new married life, adding, “It is a great blessing to me that I have met someone with whom I can pray together through both joy and hardship, and walk while looking in the same direction.”
Regarding the sudden news of marriage and pregnancy, Yang asked for fans' support, saying, “I am still a little dazed by the suddenness, but I intend to learn one thing at a time with a grateful heart and try to adapt well.”
Born in 1988, Yang made her debut in 2012 as a member of the girl group Spica. The group drew significant attention at the time of their debut, as singer Lee Hyori was known to have participated directly in their production. Since then, Yang has expanded her career beyond group activities into acting and broadcasting.
