Ahn Jae-wook Says BigBang's Taeyang Ran Beside Him at His Second Child's Sports Day

Actor Ahn Jae-wook revealed that he is a fellow kindergarten parent with Taeyang of BigBang, recalling an unexpected moment when the two fathers ran side by side at a sports day for their children.

Appearing on tvN STORY's entertainment program 'Namgyeoseo Mwohage' on June 15, Ahn Jae-wook spoke about life as a 54-year-old father who had children later in life. He said he has been actively taking part in parenting-related events, adding, "It is not only the children's mother who attends. I also go to school sports days and events like that. Last year, I even ran in a race."

Ahn then explained his connection with Taeyang. "Taeyang's child and our second child attend the same kindergarten," he said. "Last year, I joined a race at the sports day, and Taeyang was running alongside me in the next lane."

Describing the scene with humor, Ahn said, "Taeyang was going back and forth like a squirrel. So Taeyang came in first in the race. My shoe came off, so I finished third." The story captured the practical and sometimes comic challenges he experiences as a father who entered parenthood later in life.

Taeyang and Min Hyo-rin, and Ahn Jae-wook and Choi Hyun-joo, are also neighbors living in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Parc Hannam, where Taeyang resides, was traded in the 18 billion won range in 2023. Hannam Hyperion, where Ahn lives, is said to have a sale price of around 4.7 billion won.
