Jeon Wook-min, the brother of actress Jeon So-min, has shared an update on his life, revealing that he is working as a delivery driver to make a living while refusing to give up on his dream of becoming an actor. His sincere story—a man living in the shadow of a famous sibling, striving toward his goals even in his late 30s—is resonating with many.

On the 11th, Jeon posted a video on his SNS along with a short message: “Running again today.” The video captures his current way of life and his honest reflections on the process.

The story he shared stands in stark contrast to the glamour of the entertainment industry.

“My sister is a famous actress. Thanks to her, I have appeared on broadcasts several times. That is why I also dreamed of being an actor,” Jeon said.

Having watched his sister's success from up close, he naturally assumed he could follow the same path. “Looking from the side, it felt close. So, honestly, I thought I would do well,” he confessed.

However, reality proved much harsher than expected.

“The wall of reality was much higher and thicker than I thought.”

His brief words capture the frustration of navigating the gap between dreams and reality. Having a famous celebrity in the family did not guarantee his own success. In fact, witnessing someone else's glamorous ascent can sometimes make one's own struggles feel even more acute.

Jeon also spoke candidly about his age.

“I am 38. I am soon forty. I have no glamorous career and no savings.”

While some assumed he would be financially comfortable due to his sister's fame, his reality is quite different. “Because my sister is a celebrity, some people thought I had a lot of money. But that money has nothing to do with me. It is all my sister's money. Money she earned,” he stated clearly.

Currently, he has chosen to work as a delivery driver.

He earns his daily living through deliveries while simultaneously working to fund his pursuit of acting. However, he admitted that it hasn't been easy to admit to those around him that he is doing delivery work in his late 30s.

“Sometimes it is embarrassing. It is hard to say I am doing deliveries at this age.”

Despite this, he has not stopped. Instead, he is embracing his reality and pushing forward. He is creating the time necessary to pursue acting while personally providing the funds to sustain that dream.

Perhaps he is less of a 'person who achieves a dream' and more of a 'person who refuses to give up on one.'

Success stories in the entertainment industry are usually defined by their results. The journey from obscurity to fame, landing roles, and gaining public love is often framed as a success myth. He mentioned that people often tell him, “It is too late.” From their perspective, 38 is too old to start a new dream.

“There is a saying that when you think it's too late, it really is late, but conversely, there is a saying that when you think it's too late, it is actually the fastest. I decided to believe the latter.”

He added, “So, I am running again today.”

While he is running for deliveries, he is also running toward his dream of acting. His daily life is meaningful because his labor for survival and his pursuit of a dream are not separate endeavors.

While Jeon So-min is already a household name, Jeon Wook-min is not yet an actor known by his own name. However, the story he is building asks a fundamental question: Must a dream always start young? If you have failed, must you abandon it?

Jeon has not yet found the answer, but he has made a clear choice: he will not give up.

He will continue his deliveries today, and tomorrow he will return to thinking about auditions and acting. Even without the glamour, he is enduring each day through his own strength, waiting for the day he is finally called an actor.
