Lee Hye-young's Stepdaughter: A Chef from a US Michelin 1-Star Korean cuisine Restaurant

Actress Lee Hye-young shared glimpses of her daily life with her stepdaughter, who worked as a chef in the United States, showcasing their special family bond. Interest peaked as it was revealed that her stepdaughter has experience working at a Michelin 1-star restaurant in the US.

On the 2nd, a video titled 'Michelin 1-Star Experience, 4 Healthy Dishes Learned from My Daughter' was released on Lee Hye-young's YouTube channel.

In the video, Lee Hye-young met her stepdaughter living in the US, went grocery shopping together, and spent time preparing healthy meals. Admitting she is not usually confident in cooking, she created a warm atmosphere while learning recipes directly from her daughter.

Lee Hye-young's stepdaughter selected broccoli, mini cabbage, and oven-roasted chicken breast as the menu, explaining, "I prepared this diet because Mom loves vegetables and values healthy food."

When the production team asked about her experience working at a restaurant in New York, she revealed, "I worked as a chef at a Michelin 1-star Korean cuisine restaurant in the US," adding, "I had to quit my job because I developed a cervical disc issue while continuing kitchen work."

As expected from her experience in a professional restaurant, she skillfully led the ingredient preparation and cooking process, while Lee Hye-young completed the dishes while listening to her daughter's explanations.

Lee Hye-young recalled that her stepdaughter had been interested in cooking since before she grew into a professional chef. She reminisced about her daughter's consistent interest and effort, saying, "I never formally learned, but since she was young, she used to research and make smoothies herself."

An anecdote from her internship days was also revealed in the video. Lee Hye-young shared an experience of visiting the place where her daughter was working without notice, saying, "I even bought bread for all the employees."

She recalled telling the staff at the time, "If you are even one minute late for even one day, contact me. Don't just let it slide," before leaving. In response, her stepdaughter reacted honestly, saying, "It was embarrassing," drawing laughter.

When the production team joked, "Isn't that answer too short?" she replied, "I said 'yes' because I didn't want to think about it then," making the scene erupt in laughter.

Lee Hye-young looked back on the moment with a laugh, saying, "It was an action meant to tell them not to be late. I wanted to teach them good habits, but I think I was too intense."
