Seo Soo-min shines in first drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated' alongside So Ji-sub
Rising star Seo Soo-min earns acclaim for her emotional performance as Kim Min-ji in the SBS drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated'.
Actor Seo Soo-min is emerging as a next-generation rising star, leaving a powerful impression with her stable emotional acting in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated'.

Playing the role of Kim Min-ji, the daughter of Agent Kim (played by So Ji-sub), Seo is receiving critical acclaim from viewers for leading the drama with a delicate expressive power that makes it hard to believe this is her first drama appearance.
In the 7th episode aired on the 17th, the story depicted Kim Min-ji's dramatic reunion with her father, who came to rescue her, followed by another painful separation. Amidst the dramatic development, Seo heightened immersion by naturally unraveling complex emotions—a mixture of fear, relief, confusion, and sadness.
Min-ji was swept into shock and confusion after witnessing her father, whom she thought was just an ordinary office worker, overpower an armed opponent. Seo meticulously expressed the character's psychological changes through trembling eyes and controlled breathing, convincingly completing the father-daughter chemistry with So Ji-sub.
The reunion scene following the rescue also left a deep impression. Watching her wounded father, Min-ji's sobbing, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for making you worry," delivered deep emotion even amidst the tension. She drew empathy from viewers by plainly expressing the heart of a daughter who worries about her father before her own fears.
She showed another side in the scene where she faced Joo Kang-chan (played by Joo Sang-wook). While trying to stop her father, who was consumed by rage, Min-ji said, "Please turn yourself in. Both you and Lee Hye Ri," revealing the character's values of demanding responsibility and reflection rather than revenge. Seo convincingly portrayed the character's firm inner strength with unwavering acting.
The highlight of episode 7 was the birthday scene at the end of the broadcast. While feeling guilty that her father chose to surrender because of her, Min-ji comforted him instead, saying, "Come back. I'll wait. Because you're my dad." In the subsequent scene where she is left alone, hugging her birthday gift and card while bursting into suppressed tears, she left a lasting impression with her restrained emotional acting.
Rather than exaggerating emotions, Seo drove the emotional tone of the drama with acting that steadily builds up the character's psychology. In particular, she is being evaluated as having doubled the emotional impact of the work by acting as a core pillar of the father-daughter narrative built with So Ji-sub.
Having made the pressure of her first drama disappear, Seo is raising expectations for her future endeavors by leaving a strong impression with her stable acting skills and high level of focus.
