Choi Kang Hee reveals results of 30-day abs challenge
Actress Choi Kang Hee shares her physical transformation and unexpected body composition results after a month-long fitness challenge on YouTube.
Actress Choi Kang Hee has revealed the results of her 30-day abs challenge. While she has not yet achieved clearly defined abdominal muscles, she shared her journey of combining exercise and diet, noting that she can feel the physical changes as her clothes fit comfortably again.

On the 2nd, Choi reviewed her month-long transformation in a video titled '30-Day Abs Challenge Final Results [Even the PD was flustered]' uploaded to her YouTube channel, 'I'm Choi Kang Hee.'
She noted the tangible physical changes, saying, "There is a change. My clothes all fit. My 'eye-body' (visual check) has changed tremendously." She then confirmed her body composition changes through an InBody measurement.
The results were somewhat different from her expectations. Not only did her body fat decrease, but her skeletal muscle mass also declined, and her InBody score was lower than before. Choi remarked, "When you do cardio, you lose muscle. I even ran at Namsan yesterday." She stated that while continuing to exercise steadily, she managed her diet by exchanging food photos with her manager every day, adding, "I feel I did it healthily, so I am very satisfied."
When her manager commented, "Your weight has decreased, but your muscle mass has also decreased," Choi joked, "How long do I have to do this? I don't think anyone is curious."
Although the abs, which were her original goal, did not clearly emerge, Choi expressed satisfaction with the change itself, saying, "I don't have abs, but my torso has shrunk significantly. My circumference has decreased."
Choi's recent challenge focuses more on the 'process of sustaining exercise' rather than simple weight loss. It is particularly meaningful in that, even in her late 40s, rather than obsessing over creating a specific physique in a short period, she observed her own physical changes and maintained an exercise habit. This is also why it is difficult to judge exercise performance solely by weight or body fat percentage; various factors such as muscle mass, body fat, stamina, and exercise performance must be considered together.
Choi, who debuted in the 1997 KBS drama 'New Generation Report: Adults Don't Know,' has since built a unique brand of bright and realistic characters in works such as 'School,' 'Crazy Romance,' 'My Sassy Girl,' 'Protect the Boss,' '7th Grade Civil Servant,' and 'Queen of Mystery.' In particular, she has been loved by the public for a long time due to her friendly image and unique acting rhythm, which differs from stereotypically beautiful stars.
Recently, she has been communicating with the public in a new way by directly revealing her daily life, hobbies, and lifestyle habits through YouTube, in addition to her acting career. Unlike traditional celebrity content that only shows a polished image for broadcasting, her content is characterized by revealing the failures and unexpected results of the challenge process.
This abs challenge is no different. Although Choi did not obtain the expected 'abs' as a result, she confirmed the physical changes she could feel after sustaining exercise for a month. She concluded by expressing her intention to continue the challenge, saying, "Let's try to make a pretty body by Gaeul."
However, since changes in body composition can vary depending on an individual's diet, exercise method, and timing of measurement, it is difficult to accept a specific exercise method as a standard applicable to everyone. What is noteworthy in Choi's case is the process of creating a lifestyle of moving steadily while observing her own body, rather than the weight represented by numbers.
