Actress Song Ji-hyo (44) shared her candid thoughts on marriage during a recent appearance on a YouTube channel. Song invited rapper Nucksal, who is frequently noted for his resemblance to her, as a guest.
While sharing a meal she prepared, the conversation turned toward marriage and parenting. Nucksal introduced himself by joking, "I'm Nucksal, still riding the wave of being told I look like Song Ji-hyo."
When Song asked how long he had been married, Nucksal replied, "This is my fourth year." Song recalled attending his wedding, to which Nucksal expressed his gratitude again, saying, "I was truly thankful that you came along with Yang Se-chan." Song noted, "There was only one child back then, but you've already had a second one," and Nucksal shared that his second child was born about eight months ago.
Nucksal offered a self-deprecating look at his life, remarking, "I started parenting before I could even properly enjoy newlywed life. Since our lifestyles were so different, we fought a lot. Only now have I realized things to some extent. I've finally become a human being. Before that, I wasn't a human."
Speaking with the wisdom of an experienced veteran, Nucksal added, "In marriage, you must be considerate of and understand the person you live with. When you are dating, you each have your own homes, so there is time to compose your emotions. But when you marry, you share the same space, so there is no place to hide. For a smooth married life, communication and consideration are more important than anything else."
Song responded, "When I hear stories like this, I feel like I want to get married, but once I return to the reality of my own life, the thought of marriage disappears. I guess that's why I'm like this." Nucksal countered, "Is that the right order? Shouldn't you find the person to marry first?" Song clarified her stance, stating, "Don't you have to have thoughts of marriage for a man to enter your life?"
Last year, Song revealed on SBS's 'Running Man' that she had previously been in a long-term relationship for eight years.
