'Yongwon Gay' Jang Yong-won Reveals His Bride: 'She Really Is a Woman'
Actor Jang Yong-won thanked guests after his wedding and shared affectionate newlywed remarks about his non-celebrity wife.
Actor Jang Yong-won, widely recognized by many viewers for his “Yongwon Gay” character, has shared his thoughts after completing his wedding ceremony, expressing gratitude to those who celebrated with him and affection for his wife.

On July 3, Jang posted a message on his personal social media account, saying that about a week had already passed since the wedding. He thanked everyone who took precious time to attend and congratulate the couple, writing that he was sincerely grateful to all who joined them for the occasion.
He added that, having received blessings from so many people, he would live happily and joyfully. Jang also said he would greet everyone again after returning safely from his trip, closing the post with a light farewell.
Alongside the wedding photos, Jang also left a heartfelt message for his wife. Addressing her affectionately as his “princess,” he thanked her for all the effort she had put in and told her that he loved her, openly showing his deep affection.
The released photos show Jang’s non-celebrity wife wearing a pure white wedding dress, while Jang appears in a tuxedo. The couple are seen smiling brightly together, presenting the image of happy newlyweds surrounded by the blessings of their guests.
Before the ceremony, Jang had personally announced his marriage plans. He said he had promised to spend an even longer time with the girlfriend who had stayed by his side for many years, and added that he would continue their beautiful love while building a happy family.
Jang Yong-won held his wedding with his non-celebrity partner on June 28 at a location in Seoul.
Jang made his debut in 2019 through the tvN drama “Cheap Cheonlima Mart” and has continued his acting career with appearances in films including “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” and “Classmates: The Last Supper.” He also appeared in the recently ended MBC drama “In Your Brilliant Season.” In 2024, he drew major attention and received public affection for the “Yongwon Gay” character he portrayed in a web drama on the YouTube channel “Unexpected Film.”
