Yang Jeong-a, Who Turned Down Kim Seung-su's Confession, Shares a Rosy Date with Shin Seung-tae, 15 Years Her Junior
Actor Yang Jeong-a drew attention on KBS 1TV as she shared warm chemistry with trot singer Shin Seung-tae, 15 years her junior.
Actor Yang Jeong-a, who previously drew public attention for her ambiguous relationship with actor Kim Seung-su, created a different kind of excitement through a special meeting with trot singer Shin Seung-tae. This time, Yang became a topic of conversation for the natural chemistry she showed with Shin, who is 15 years younger than she is.

Episode 25 of KBS 1TV's variety program "Let's Live Together with Hwang Shin-hye," broadcast on July 1, followed Hwang Shin-hye, Shin Gye-suk, and Yang Jeong-a as they visited the Hantangang Garden Festa, a representative festival of Pocheon, and met special guest Shin Seung-tae.
When Shin Seung-tae appeared at the festival site that day, he lifted the mood by greeting the three older women with vivid flower comparisons. He told Hwang Shin-hye that she was "like a tulip," explaining that the image of a single bloom gave her an elegant feeling. To Yang Jeong-a, he said she was "like a daisy," conveying a warm image that drew attention. He also described Shin Gye-suk as "like a peony," showing his distinctively friendly way of approaching all three women.
Shin then suggested one-on-one dates with each of them, turning the segment into a full-fledged moment designed to stir romantic excitement. Hwang Shin-hye, curious about the date-like atmosphere after a long time away from it, asked about his ideal type. Shin replied that he liked tall women with pretty faces, but added that rather than a Western-style beauty, he preferred a Korean-looking face and a small-featured kind of prettiness.
Yang Jeong-a took the final turn on a date with Shin Seung-tae, and he drew attention from the start with his active approach. He held Yang's hand as they moved together and even drew a portrait on the spot, saying he would give her a picture he had drawn himself. Through these gestures, he showed the fresh charm of a younger man.
However, the carefully completed drawing turned out to be more modest than expected, bringing laughter to the scene. Yang also caused an outburst of laughter with her honest reaction, but Shin said, "The most fun date was the one I had with Jeong-a nuna," adding, "We could joke around comfortably, and the conversation flowed well." His comments revealed the relaxed atmosphere between the two.
When the production team remarked that Yang seemed to fit his ideal type conditions the best, Yang responded shyly, "I can only be grateful," creating a subtly suggestive mood.
Shin Seung-tae also opened up on the broadcast about his upbringing and positive outlook on life. He said, "I did not know when it would happen, but I had a feeling that things would eventually go well." He explained that his family struggled during his childhood after his father guaranteed someone else's debt, but he learned a positive attitude by watching his parents diligently rebuild the household.
He also spoke honestly about the sense of pressure he felt after gaining a fan club. "At first, I felt burdened and sorry," he said. "Even when I traveled long distances for events, seeing fans arrive before me made me grateful but also apologetic." He added that he has since grown closer to his fans and continues to share sincere communication with them.
Meanwhile, Yang Jeong-a had previously attracted attention for developing a "some" mood, suggesting a relationship that was more than friendship but not clearly defined, with actor Kim Seung-su based on their long-standing friendship. Through SBS's "My Little Old Boy," the two showed realistic concerns about their relationship, and Kim candidly expressed his feelings by saying, "I want to meet you in a meaning other than as a friend," and, "When asked whether I have a girlfriend, I want to say that I do."
Yang, however, shared her practical concerns, saying, "I want to see you build a beautiful family, have children, and live that way." Her words effectively conveyed a cautious rejection.
Yang Jeong-a, born in 1971, and Shin Seung-tae, born in 1986, drew viewers' attention by showing a comfortable and cheerful rapport despite their 15-year age difference. Interest is now focusing on what kind of path Yang will show in the future as she stands between a past connection and a new meeting.
