BTS Wins Second Artist of the Year at American Music Awards

The group BTS has won their second Artist of the Year award at the American Music Awards (AMA), one of the three major popular music award ceremonies in the United States.
The 2026 American Music Awards ceremony was held on the 25th (local time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in the United States. At this event, BTS received the Artist of the Year award, which serves as the grand prize.
BTS's win is particularly significant as it came after fierce competition against global pop stars such as Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga.
RM and J-Hope delivered emotional acceptance speeches in fluent English. Jimin expressed his gratitude to the fans in Korean, saying, "Thank you, ARMY, for supporting and loving us," while Jin said, "I really love our ARMY" in Korean.
Following their 2021 achievement as the first Korean artist to win 'Artist of the Year' at the AMA, BTS has now embraced the grand prize trophy for the second time.
