This follows a wave of backlash after Park released CCTV footage showing himself falling due to a mistake by a social service agent while disembarking from a KTX. Some netizens have begun holding Kim responsible for facilitating the couple's meeting.

Comments on Kim's account included remarks such as, "Would you have introduced Park Wi even if Song Ji-eun were your younger sister?" and "Would you have blessed it even if a family member married a person with a disability?" As criticism is directed toward a third party unrelated to the couple's marriage, the online controversy is expanding into the realm of their private lives.

Kim was the crucial link between Park Wi and Song Ji-eun. Song reportedly first learned of Park after receiving his book as a gift from Kim, and the two later met at a dawn service at the church Kim attended. After dating, the couple married in October 2024.

Park eventually deleted the video and apologized, stating, "My method of delivery was immature and my thinking was short-sighted." However, the aftershocks have not subsided. The controversy expanded as various claims regarding Park's past remarks and actions resurfaced online.

The repercussions have been tangible. While Park's YouTube channel once surpassed 1 million subscribers, it had dropped to the 950,000 range as of the afternoon of the 31st.
