Danielle, formerly of the girl group NewJeans, has reportedly participated in an overseas marathon while a massive damages lawsuit regarding her exclusive contract with ADOR is ongoing. As it has been confirmed that she is carrying out personal schedules independently despite the legal dispute, various interpretations are emerging.

According to the official records of the '2026 China Airlines Half Marathon' recently held in Gold Coast, Australia, Danielle participated in the event under her real name, Danielle Marsh, and completed the 21.0975km half course. Her results spread quickly through online communities and other platforms.
According to the tallied records, Danielle's finishing time was 1 hour 49 minutes 13 seconds (Gun Time), placing her 3,224th out of 5,387 total participants. Among female participants, she ranked 1,003rd, and she was captured in photos at the scene running the course in pink athletic wear.
The event is an international-scale competition held as part of the Gold Coast Marathon Series. Her participation is drawing significant attention as it took place while the damages lawsuit regarding her exclusive contract with ADOR is still in progress.
During the third pleading date held on the 2nd at the Seoul Central District Court's 31st Civil Division, ADOR presented cases of contract violations, claiming that Danielle had continued her entertainment activities independently without prior approval. Various activities, such as music release collaborations, overseas photo shoots, and brand contracts, were raised as points of contention.
In response, Danielle's side countered, stating that some projects were collaborations without financial gain and that many of the acts cited as problematic were group-level activities rather than solo endeavors.
ADOR filed a damages lawsuit against Danielle and others late last year, and the claim amount is known to have been adjusted from the previous 43 billion won range to the recent 33 billion won range. While other members of the group are undergoing certain return procedures, attention is focused on her future moves following this news of her marathon participation.
