KATSEYE stays on Billboard 200 for 53 weeks, first girl group since Pussycat Dolls
KATSEYE makes history with 53 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, the first girl group to achieve such longevity since the Pussycat Dolls in 2005.
KATSEYE, the global girl group from HYBE and Geffen Records, has set a new milestone in the global music market by maintaining long-term success on the US Billboard main album chart for over a year.

The group has proven its sustainable commercial competitiveness even in the era of rapidly consumed streaming, marking the first time in 21 years since the Pussycat Dolls that a female group's album has appeared on the Billboard 200 for 53 consecutive weeks.
According to the latest charts released by Billboard, KATSEYE's second EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' ranked 128th on the Billboard 200 as of July 11, continuing its 53-week streak. Previously, on the July 4 chart, the group achieved the massive feat of entering the chart for 52 consecutive weeks, marking exactly one year since its release.
This achievement holds special significance as a case of long-term success for a female group. The last girl group album to record more than a year of consecutive chart presence on the Billboard 200 was the debut album 'PCD' by the Pussycat Dolls, released in 2005. At that time, the Pussycat Dolls established themselves as the representative girl group of the mid-2000s US pop market with global hits such as 'Don't Cha' and 'Buttons,' and KATSEYE has now rewritten that lineage after 21 years.
The Billboard 200 is a primary indicator of the US music market, comprehensively reflecting physical album sales, digital downloads, and streaming numbers rather than just first-week sales. Maintaining a presence on this chart for over a year is a symbolic achievement, demonstrating that musical quality, popularity, and the sustained consumption of a global fandom have organically combined beyond temporary buzz.
KATSEYE is also maintaining a strong presence on the singles charts. 'Gabriela' reached a peak of 21 on the Billboard Hot 100, while 'PINKY UP' reached 28, 'Internet Girl' reached 29, and 'Gnarly' reached 82, producing multiple hits. The group has effectively proven its competitiveness in the global market through stable results in both albums and music releases.
Last June, they released the collaboration single 'ICONIC BY MISTAKE' with LE SSERAFIM and Illit, girl groups under HYBE Labels, which landed at number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. This was the highest-ranking K-pop girl group music release to enter the Hot 100 this year, once again confirming the global influence of the HYBE girl group brand.
Their presence extended to global music award ceremonies as well. KATSEYE was nominated for 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' at the 68th Grammy Awards, and at the American Music Awards held last May, they won three awards, including 'New Artist of the Year,' receiving recognition for both artistry and popularity.
Their growth in the live performance market is also remarkable. Leveraging the members' multinational backgrounds, solid performances, and stable live vocals, the group is expanding its status as global live artists through invitations to world-class music festivals such as Lollapalooza Chicago, Lollapalooza South America, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and Governors Ball.
Their first North American and European tour, 'THE WILDWORLD TOUR,' which begins this September, also proved immense interest by selling out all shows within 48 hours of tickets going on sale. The tour is scheduled to consist of 31 performances across 27 cities in 10 countries, and industry attention is focused on whether KATSEYE can establish itself as a global touring powerhouse alongside its music release achievements.
