Haru Says His Face Looks Better on Camera After Losing 8 kg
Singer Haru appeared on KBS1's Achim Madang with Lee Seung-woo, sharing concert news, OST work and thoughts on his late mother.
Singer Haru, who finished as runner-up on MBN's Mumyeong Jeonseol, appeared on KBS1's Achim Madang on June 24 alongside Lee Seung-woo. The visit brought together two singers whose recent momentum has been closely tied to television music programs.

Lee Seung-woo spoke about why he first applied to appear on Challenge! Dream Stage. He said he had unexpectedly left his job and, because making a living became urgent, ended up doing work unrelated to singing. Even so, he could not let go of his attachment to music, so he personally wrote and sent in his story. According to Lee, the program looked kindly on him, gave him the chance to sing, and he went on to win. He also gained an agency afterward. Lee said all of it was thanks to his grandmother, adding that he does not know what he would be doing now if Achim Madang had not been there.
Lee also shared that he recently released a new song and said his grandmother is delighted by it. She asked him to set his song as her phone ringtone, and although he described himself as computer-illiterate, he somehow found a way to make it happen for her. He said he was not exaggerating when he guessed that she listens to it about 30 times a day, conveying how strongly she supports him.
Haru said he came to Achim Madang despite being busy preparing for concerts. He explained that he had also practiced dancing, saying, "I am a son of Achim Madang, am I not? I could not just show up. Even though I was so busy that I could not take a single day off, exactly one day opened up, so I practiced together with my older brother."
Haru then described the active run he has been enjoying since the show. He said he received a great deal of positive energy from Achim Madang, went on to place second in a competition program, and is now touring the country with concerts. He asked many people to attend. He also said he participated in the OST for the KBS 2TV weekend drama I Will Prescribe Love for You. The song was released last Sunday, and it is also set to air during the coming weekend.
Comparing himself with the period when he was attempting a fifth win on Achim Madang, Haru said he has lost 8 kg. Asked about the change, he emphasized how it affects his appearance on screen, saying, "The good thing about losing 8 kg is that at least my face comes out a little prettier."
Haru also spoke about missing his late mother as more happy things have been happening in his life. He said that thanks to his mother, he is now moving steadily forward, and he asked her to keep cheering for him and watching over him from heaven. He closed the message by saying that he loves her.
