Singer Mirani announces surprise marriage in emotional tribute to late mother

Singer Mirani has revealed her marriage news for the first time, expressing her deep longing for her late mother. Her story of losing her father during her childhood and subsequently losing her mother to ovarian cancer, along with a sincere video message sent ahead of her new beginning, moved viewers to tears.

On the 29th, Mirani appeared on the 'Challenge Dream Stage' revival round of KBS1's 'Morning Forum' to candidly share her life story.

Before her performance, Mirani surprised the audience with the news, stating, "I got married on July 12th," receiving congratulations from those present.

She then calmly recounted her family history from her childhood.

“I lost my father when I was seven years old,” she recalled. “My mother worked in the beauty industry to raise us alone, and I was always by her side helping her work, sticking to her like glue.”

She also revealed that she was able to start singing thanks to her mother.

“My mom was a singer first,” Mirani said with a smile. “Every time she went to an event stage, she took me along, and the time we spent singing together was truly happy.”

However, that ordinary daily life was shattered by her mother's sudden illness.

“My mother's face began to swell severely, and her hair started falling out,” Mirani said. “Eventually, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and passed away after a difficult three-year battle with the disease.”

She confessed that her life changed completely after losing her mother.

“I felt like I couldn't live in a world without my mom,” she recalled, adding, “Depression set in, and I didn't even want to meet people, and even smiling was difficult.”

The strength that allowed her to rise again from despair was none other than music.

“Listening to the songs I used to sing on stage with my mom and starting to sing again gave me the strength to live little by little,” Mirani said.

A video message to her mother was also revealed during the broadcast.

“Mom, I got married on July 12th. If you were here, you would have been happier than anyone, and I miss you so much,” Mirani said, her voice trembling with emotion.

She continued, “But don't worry about me, Mom. I will live happily,” a promise that brought tears to the eyes of those watching.

She also expressed her gratitude to her husband.

“Thank you so much for becoming my new protector,” she said sincerely. “From now on, I will be a wife who takes even better care of you.”
