Jisoo to release new single 'CLICK' on Sept. 4

Blackpink member Jisoo is set to continue her solo journey with the release of her new single 'CLICK' on September 4. Following the solo musical paths of her Blackpink groupmate Jennie, Jisoo has teased a new musical direction through unique visuals reminiscent of an amusement park.

On the 24th, Jisoo released the 'CLICK' poster, a countdown webpage, and a teaser video through her official application and her agency BLISSOO's official SNS.

The released poster features a minimal design against a pink background, showcasing heart patterns, the song title 'CLICK', and Jisoo's English stage name. The countdown page displays the release time of September 4 at 1 PM against an amusement park backdrop. The use of simple graphics and intense colors appears to intentionally withhold specific details about the track.

The teaser video begins with a hand holding an amusement park ticket, followed by doll characters and a dark, moody atmosphere. The juxtaposition of bright, fairy-tale amusement park imagery with eerie tones has fueled curiosity regarding how 'CLICK' will differ from Jisoo's previous solo work.

Outside of her activities with Blackpink, Jisoo has consistently built a successful solo career. Her mini album 'AMORTAGE', released in February last year, ranked number one on the iTunes Top Albums charts in 45 regions. The title track 'earthquake' topped the US Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, and its music video surpassed 100 million views.

In October of the same year, she expanded her global reach by releasing the single 'EYES CLOSED' in collaboration with pop star ZAYN. The song proved her international competitiveness by entering the US Billboard 'HOT 100' chart. She also set a record on Spotify as the Korean female solo artist to achieve 1 billion cumulative streams for solo songs in the shortest period.
