Korean American Singer EJAE, Praised as Korea’s Pride, Enjoys Mexico Date With Fiance Sam Kim Ahead of November Wedding

Korean American singer EJAE, described in Korea as a source of national pride despite being American, has shared a recent update from Mexico, where she enjoyed a date with her fiance, Sam Kim.

On June 17, EJAE posted about the trip, writing that it was “a truly special experience” and that “Mexico City is beautiful.” Along with the message, she revealed a rear-view photo of herself and Sam Kim walking through the streets of Mexico City together during their date.

EJAE and Sam Kim also shared a photo taken with the stadium in the background where the opening ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America had taken place.

On June 12, EJAE attracted attention from fans around the world when she performed “DNA,” the official theme song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Andrea Bocelli at the opening ceremony held at Mexico City Stadium in Mexico City.

Born in Seoul, Korean American EJAE spent time as a trainee at SM Entertainment and is now active in the United States as both a songwriter and singer. Sam Kim is also Korean American and works as a music producer.

Last year, EJAE voiced Rumi, a member of the main girl group Huntrix in the Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters.” She also wrote, composed, and sang the main original soundtrack, “Golden.”

EJAE and Sam Kim are set to hold their wedding this November.
