SHINee's Key explores Tokyo streets on solo trip

SHINee member Key shared an update on his recent life by revealing footage of himself spending time alone in Tokyo, Japan. After returning to group activities following a brief hiatus from broadcasting last year, his appearance enjoying daily life in a relatively free atmosphere has caught people's attention.

On the 21st, a video titled 'Edited by KEY #1' was released on SHINee's official channel. The video captures Key visiting Japan, staying at a hotel, and wandering through various parts of downtown Tokyo to enjoy some personal time.

After taking a taxi to his hotel, Key unpacked his belongings and headed back into the city to meet a friend. While waiting for his friend, he enjoyed playing claw machines, and later spent a relaxing time having omurice and coffee with his companion.

In the video, Key walked through major Tokyo locations, including the Shibuya crossing, wearing comfortable clothing along with a hat and a mask. Even at famous tourist attractions, his appearance of walking alone or spending time with a friend without being tied to a special schedule shows a natural vibe that differs from his glamorous image on stage.

Fans welcomed the update on Key, reacting with comments such as, "When did you go to Japan?", "I can't recognize you with the hat and mask on," and "I want to go to Japan too."

This reveal of his daily life in Japan is also drawing interest as it represents the changes following his hiatus from broadcasting last year. After being involved in the so-called 'injection aunt' controversy late last year, Key stepped down from his fixed appearances on MBC's 'I Live Alone' and tvN's 'Amazing Saturday.'

At the time, Key issued an official statement apologizing, saying he had not looked after his surroundings more carefully, and took time for self-reflection. Subsequently, in May, he resumed his music career by releasing SHINee's sixth mini-album, 'Atmos,' as a full group.

Following their solo concert 'SHINee WORLD VIII : THE INVERT' at the Seoul KSPO Dome, SHINee continued their global activities by performing at the Belluna Dome in Saitama, Japan. By balancing solo and group activities, he is meeting the public in a different way than before, when his focus was primarily on broadcasting.

Key has also been steadily sharing glimpses of his daily life through his personal SNS. On the 4th, he posted photos and videos of himself spending time with his pet dogs, Comme and Garçons, along with a short caption, "Kim's Summering."

In particular, the post garnered attention as it featured an open view overlooking a wide grassy garden and the Han River. The house in question was previously revealed through 'I Live Alone' and received significant interest when it was known to be a lease contract worth 3.8 billion won.

After returning to the stage following his departure from broadcasting and his period of reflection, Key is now spending his time in more private spheres, such as traveling to Japan and enjoying daily life with his dogs. The process of him regaining his own pace behind the scenes of glamorous celebrity life is also being received by fans as another way of staying updated on his well-being.
