27-Year-Old Man Often Mistaken for a Woman at 158 cm; Lee Soo-geun Says, "Only My Nails Grow, Not My Height"
A 27-year-old singing instructor says his 158 cm frame and high voice often lead strangers to mistake him for a woman.
A 27-year-old man who says he is often mistaken for a woman because of his slight build and high-pitched voice will appear on the June 8 broadcast of KBS Joy's "Ask Anything Fortune Tellers." The episode introduces his everyday concerns, centered on how strangers react to his appearance and voice before getting to know him.

The guest says he is 158 cm tall, which he describes as very short for a 27-year-old man. He recalls that, in one incident, someone who saw him in a men's restroom thought they had entered the women's restroom by mistake and left again.
He explains that he has studied singing since childhood and now works teaching others how to sing. Even after going through puberty, however, his voice did not change significantly, and he says that has become a deep source of worry for him.
Hearing the story, Lee Soo-geun responds by relating it to his own experience, asking, "Your height does not grow, but your nails grow fast, don't they?" His remark connects the guest's concern about height with Lee's own way of looking at a similar insecurity.
The guest then reveals his polished singing ability. The unexpectedly impressive performance surprises the show's "bosal" figures, who are unable to hide their reaction to the quality of his stage.
He also opens up about absurd experiences he has had because of his appearance. While working part-time at a barbecue restaurant, he says, customers once made a bet among themselves over his gender. He also shares that people he was meeting for the first time have questioned his gender identity.
Recently, he has begun drawing attention by uploading videos of himself singing. At the same time, he admits that malicious comments aimed at his appearance and voice have hurt him.
Lee Soo-geun advises him not to pay too much attention to people who judge others only by what they can see. Seo Jang-hoon also offers strong encouragement, saying that even if the guest receives more attention in the future, it will be important for him to keep a steady heart.
