Ayumi Shares Heartbreaking Moment as 2-Year-Old Daughter Required Emergency Treatment

Broadcaster Ayumi, formerly of the girl group Sugar, has belatedly revealed a harrowing moment when her young daughter required emergency treatment following a sudden accident. She is gaining widespread empathy by honestly sharing the fear and guilt she felt as a parent.

On the 1st, Ayumi shared the details of the accident through her SNS, writing, “I can finally talk about it now that Se-ah is okay.”

Ayumi explained, “Not long ago, Se-ah was dancing excitedly on the bed, fell, and bit her tongue hard, so we went straight to the emergency room.” She described how a normal playtime instantly turned into an emergency, leaving her deeply shaken by the unexpected accident.

She continued to share her feelings at the time, saying, “Since she needed two stitches, the treatment was performed under sedation. It all happened so fast that my heart was racing, and it broke my heart so much because there was nothing I could do for her.”

As the treatment process itself can be a source of great fear for a young child, Ayumi expressed the heartache of a parent watching her daughter endure such terror and pain.

Fortunately, Se-ah has recovered her health after completing the treatment. Ayumi expressed her gratitude to the medical staff, saying, “I am so thankful to the doctors who were so kind so that the baby wouldn't be scared,” and also expressed her thanks to her daughter for enduring the difficult treatment so well.

She also mentioned the realistic weight of parenting felt through this incident. “It was a day that made me feel deeply that unimaginable things can happen when you are raising a child,” she said. “I think parents aren't necessarily strong people, but rather people who have no choice but to become strong. I respect all the moms and dads in the world.”
